Also: Does anybody know if there's a comm for House music? No not house music, but music that's been on House the TV show. They have quite good music. Why will nobody write me Chase/Foreman? [sulk]

What are these '300' and 'Torchwood' of whence you speak?

Torchwood (http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/news/cult/news/drwho/2005/10/17/25634.shtml) is a new show coming on the BBC this fall, a sort of British answer to the X-Files, about an organization set up for espionage and alien investigations. It stars John Barrowman (whom I like) as Captain Jack Harkness.

300 (http://300themovie.warnerbros.com/) is a movie based on a comic book of the same name, about Leonidas and the Battle of Thermopylae. The comic (and movie) are both by Frank Miller, who was responsible for Sin City, and it stars David Wenham as the storyteller and Gerard Butler as King Leonidas.

Spartans and Frank Miller and Gerard Butler and 300 beautiful athletic men. Of course I'm excited about it!

"Torchwood will be a dark, clever, wild, sexy, British crime/sci-fi paranoid thriller cop show with a sense of humour - the X Files meets This Life," says Russell T Davies. This Life? I know this, because I just cut-n-pasted it, but still, THIS LIFE? *explodes in flails of happiness*

Frank Miller is one messed up man. Still. David Wenham. And Greek Mythology. Hmmm.

Yes, Miller's work is dark and twisted and strange. Great fun. And it's Greeks. In those spiffy pointy Spartan helmets and long hair and muscled pecs. And David Wenham.
