I feel like playing, but I'm not coming up with terribly fascinating things to tell you at the moment, so instead, I'll tell you what's on the mantel over the fireplace in my bedroom:

-a picture of Chinese paper dolls with a red-painted frame my mom gave me when I was two.
-Two huge pink ceramic candlesticks that are so hideous I love them.
-A King James Bible, a copy of the Talmud, the Viking Portable Carl Jung, Wicked by Gregory Maguire, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, Eichmann in Jerusalem by Hannah Arendt, and 9 other books.
-a clock sitting on top of one of the stacks of books.
-a framed picture of me and my best friends from college on graduation day.
-a silver box from Mexico that was a Christmas present
-a weird salmon-colored vase/jug thing that I didn't know where else to put.
-a Christmas ornament I forgot to put away.
-a 9" tall laughing buddha and dragon sculpture. Rub Buddha's belly for good luck.
-my Zippo.
-an empty beer bottle.
