This is what we call a fortuitous circumstance.

When I did the casting for my Warrior Angel-verse, Cal (Warrior Angel) was played by Lex and Sean (Devilicus) was played by Clark. In the post-Issue 66 aftermath, they split up and Callum got a new partner, Hector. Naturally, they got involved, because what else would I do with two attractive, single, fictional men?

But the corker here is that I originally cast Ian Somerhalder as Hector long before he played Adam on Smallville.

So, really, I was shipping Lex/Adam before it even existed. I'm so smart!

Hey, Wendi and I cast Ian as Ethan for our sweeping boylove epics, and Ethan usually ends up sleeping with Jesse, who is played by... Michael Rosenbaum! Lex/Adam was *destiny*!

Dude, Ian is Ethan for the Jesse/Jonathan thing? My god that's a lot of names in one sentence. I digress. Really -- it's fated. Clark who? I'm almost tempted to try my hand at an AU after Resurrection, but no. I'm not feeling that driven.

LOL!! Well, Welling does double duty as both Jonathan and Teddy (whom I don't believe you've met...) but there's not a lot of Clark there at all. And I've been futzing with the story that got Jossed, and just depending on how Adam gets dispatched on the show, I may well go ahead and write it and just call it a Jossing AU or some shit like that. But yes, dude, really! Ian is Ethan. :)
