More fannish news.

The bad news keeps on coming, why is Charlize Theron playing Aeon Flux? I fucking loved Aeon Flux, she was my first girl-crush! *sulks*

Also, everyone's talking about the Dark Lord spoiler for the next HP film, but I'm kinda surprised that nobody's mentioned the Rita Skeeter casting because I think Miranda Richardson (Crying Game) is fucking spot on. I have no doubt that she can do paparazzi like nobody's business.

[livejournal.com profile] thamiris has a pretty fucking brilliant case for the Clark/Lex love during 'Shattered,' which I admit almost made me go nostalgic on Smallville for a whole minute.

In other news, I have decided to write more Ocean's Eleven/Twelve slash, eventually, when I start writing again. Why? Because Twelve is the new Eleven. God, Indika Marketing rocks, no wonder they've won marketing awards for this campaign.

ETN: Did I mention that Billy Bob Thorton was in my dream last night? It had a lot to do with drugs and money, and either a wedding reception or ballroom dancing. I'm not really sure... but we were cool. And apparently he had showered, too! At least it didn't infringe on the dream with Season 2 Sark. I think that was karmic payment for the insomnia from the night before.

I was really excited to hear that Miranda Richardson will be Rita Skeeter, more so than Ralph officially signing on to play Voldything. I love her. I think it also raises the question of whether or not this means the rest of the Potter movies will cast famous Brits in the smaller parts as cameo roles, because it kind of feels that way.

Rita Skeeter is one of my favorite HP characters. I was thrilled with the casting. MR will do a fabulous job.

Thamiris' essay was fabulous and insightful and bubbling over with exuberance in such a way that even I, who stopped watching SV about 5 eps into season 2, thought 'maybe I should give it another try.' But more importantly, it made me want to sit down and write something bubbly and exuberant and insightful about my own pairing. It's been so long since I've had anything like that to say about it. And that makes me sad. I want to stay bubbly and exuberant about my OTP. But I think since OotP I've had less, oh, motivation. Which sucks. How do you recapture the love when your canon doesn't renew itself every week on prime time? Sigh.

I am in full support of Ocean's 12 fic. I saw the teaser in the theater a few weeks ago and squealed.

The thing that amuses me the most about casting Miranda Richardson is how she played Hermione in the Comic Relief spoof. I'm still trrying to see her in Falling Angels, as the director is fabulous and she's supposed to be superb.

which I admit almost made me go nostalgic on Smallville for a whole minute.

Heh. Me too. I was all, "gah, clarkandlex, I remember that so well!"
