I go away on a wee holiday and the world does it's nut. Huh.

I love holidays. I may not come back from the next one, but since I had to come back from this one let's talk about some of the things that I pondered over my electronic-free week.

1. So, the Olympics... OMG can I have a Hamm twin? If Fred and George were Muggles, they would so be the Hamm twins. *pets Morgan and Paul* Also, I know everybody and their grandparents is on that Michael Phelps/Ian Thorpe trip. I know this because Ian was so unimpressed by Michael which made me laugh, but I have to say I have mad love for Gary Hall Jr., because he's totally Johnny Bravo in real life.

2. Why did no one tell me about Nip/Tuck before? Sweet Jesus. Until last week I'd only seen the first three episodes of S1 even though random_flores had loaned me her DVDs, and my first impression had been that Matt doesn't look like Sean -- he looks like a cloned Peter Gallagher(which I chalked up to that inexplicable telly casting), and OMG is Matt crushing on Christian? Also, Sean and Christian = so married. And then I saw the last two episodes for this season... Dude, I thought that Matt didn't look like Sean, and hey, it's because Christian is his daddy! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! It's a shame I can't slash'em now, but OMG, Sean and Christian are so in angsty turmoil with Sean's repressed love and Christan's over compensating for Sean's repression. I mean seriously, what man tells another man I loved you the most without being 50 miles past Obsessed? And then? THREESOME! I bet the prostitute just watched. Yes. Dude, where's the Nip/Tuck slash, don't hide it from me people! I have needs. Also, Rescue Me rocks.

3. I'm blown away by the results of the Citrus Awards. Apparently I won for Best Fight Scene in a Fic: Telegraph Avenue; Best HoYay (Ryan/Seth) Fic: Telegraph Avenue; Best Original Character: Telegraph Avenue (Jamie) (what, no Rex love?!); Best Overall Fic: Telegraph Avenue and Best Title: Seth as a Verb.

Wow. From the bottom of my depraved heart, thank you guys for this. I'm so pleased that you enjoy what I do. I can't tell you how much it means to me. *adores everybody with that just-back-from-holiday Zen*

4. WTF, sort of 90210-crack has Josh been smoking? The Bait Shop? Oy vey. How cheesy. How sad. Didn't we all agree that after the Oliver-debacle you would put the pipe down, baby?

5. What did I miss while I was away? Reccs? Sex? Chocolate? Did somebody finally buy me my own SarkLexSethNevilleDraco? Shall I expect delivery directly? How exciting!

Carrie and I are working off the theory that the Flying Dutchman, Thorpe and Phelps have a triangle going on. I personally chalked up Gary's sour grapes over the relay as wanting to make it a romantic square. Or maybe Ian passed him, the older swimmer, up for Phelps, the young piece of ass. Quite frankly I've been writing swim slash in my head for the past week and now that it's over I might actually have to put some of it down on paper. Which is a scary thought in itself.

The Bait Shop. Why? Honestly I just want to know if the two characters that kiss during the Walkmen's scene are Ryan and Seth.

I'm sure there are, but my failed quest for decently written (and I'm talking about settling for anything below a 10% error rate, grammarwise, which I feel is being very generous) Final Fantasy 8 fic has kind of put me off searching out any new fandoms.

Oh, I'll definitely check that out! Thank you. I love Squall/Seifer. Their duel in the intro video is just spellbinding. How unfortunate that it switches back to Rinoa/Squall before we can see Squall and Seifer attack each other in a sexual way.
