Thank you for posting this. I often think and say the same thing, but when I do speak up the feedback I often get is about how self-righteous I am.
A few weeks ago someone said, "I'm at a bad place in my life and I don't like it." All I could do was look at her and think, "YOU are in a bad place? A child in Darfur is in a bad place. A Palestinian living in a slum is in a bad place. You're just self-pitying, melodramatic, and unappreciative. Most people would give their right hand to have your type of problems."
