I can't win! First, it wouldn't take my card, and now, it's freezing on the payment screen! *bangs head on desk* If you can make it work though, they're selling a full year of LJ time for 20 quid! Err, dollars. Why I am being tested so?*

*Did I mention the bit about now being able to have 100 icons though? That's hella cool. I think this is down to [livejournal.com profile] oxoniensis's petition. Yay Signe! *loves*

Don't really like the idea of automatic payments, which is the only way you can get the $20 deal. Apparently you can turn it off and on but I'd rather have the payment site work consistently for some time before letting Brad and Co. store my CC information. 100 icons, though! I still have get off my ass and change the ones I have now. Not as good as GJ though where you can have 1000 icons... plus 250 interests. Now there's something I'd like to see added to LJ.

Neither. Especially when I'd have to borrow someone's CC to buy time.

I was concerned about the storage of credit card info, too, but the current announcement of the feature on the LJ main page (http://www.livejournal.com/) proclaims:

As always, the safety of your personal information is a top priority. Rather than storing your payment data on our own servers, we encrypt the data and send it to Wells Fargo for secure storage.

More details are supposedly available in the FAQ, but I've yet to see any, so that's probably not very reassuring.
