The lies we tell other people don't matter as much as the ones we tell ourselves

Why does this sound so familiar, and why does it bring BSG to mind?

I don't think I've ever heard it on BSG, but since I only got on board during S2, that may explain it. IMO, it's just one of those things that's true in life.
