See, Ryan and I go way back to his Whiskeytown days, and it's not the country thing that is causing me issues. Whiskeytown was country. It's the way all the songs lately are meshing together. They don't sound different, there's no distinction anymore. The CDs are like the same track for 60 min, IMO. I remember in the Heartbreaker when he would rock out on 'To Be Young, Is to Be Sad' and then have everyone sobbing in their pints to My Sweet Carolina, now I'm just like, 'meh'.
