d) I'm working on discrediting myself with Battlestar Galactica and everything I said about a) not seeing slash on the show and b) not needing to write for it, because it's so complete on its own. I mean, yeah, I was all what slash, and now my brain is all, think about the Helo/Lee pretty and hello, how angsty is the Chief/Helo? Sadly, one cannot have the Chief/Helo without addressing the Sharon Factor, and I'm not a Sharon fan. And yet, I just keep thinking I could actually make the Helo/Lee work.

Imagine if you thought your boyfriend was dead, and then your dead brother's fiancée (who you'd been in love with prior to your boyfriend) showed up. And then, you lost her again, only to have her come back with your dead boyfriend, who had impregnated the person who'd tried to kill your father. You'd be a really unhappy person, wouldn't you? Yeah, Lee should get laid.

I have only seen one episode of Battlestar, but I can definitely see the slash. My friend Jacob does the recaps for TWOP and he keeps insisting I watch it and that I will love it, etc. The episode I saw was good, but the overall goodness was detracted from by people trying to explain the premise of the show to me while the show was on.

Which one is Lee, and which is Helo? The whole thing is so confusing. And the androids who aren't really androids and look like people and um... yeah.

I didn't really see slash in BSG either until suddenly, hell, yes, I did. Helo is the enabler, man. He allows guys to get their gay on. It's a thing.

Having said that, I'm still wistfully gazing round the internet in search of Lee/Billy slash, but apparently nobody thinks they could be slashed except me, which is annoying. I suspect that any story about them would also (to some extent) have to be about the squabbling of their parents the President and Commander Adama and post-divorce, pre-remarriage custody issues. After all, she ended up with his son, and he with hers her aide and the boys, well, they should play nicely. Except. Well. Helo is the great enabler on BSG. Sigh.
