I had a Grey's Anatomy epiphany over my coffee this morning. I don't actually tend to drink coffee though, which should prolly tell you all you need to know.

It just occured to me that the way people most feel about Meredith from Grey's Anatomy (i.e. aggravated, annoyed, ready to choke a bitch) is the way I feel about Izzie from the same show. I don't hate her per se, I just don't like her. At all. Except for rarely -- whenever that rare occasion occurs.

Everybody needs to just to bow down before Bailey, really -- but that's kind of a given.


Now on to important things: I wrote SGA, BSG (twice!) and HP/O11 last week. What do I focus on now? Got some pretty pictures to bribe me with? Music? Crack? I'm always good for crack. Speaking of crack also, I can't imagine that there's anybody reading this who hasn't already found their way to seperis's SGA-does-Oz WIP, Crimes Against Humanity, but if you're not, WHY NOT? Guns! Assassins! Blowing shit up! Prison riots! *sighs happily*

And, side note, I was trying to explain why I watch a show where I dislike the main character so much and a friend translated my inarticulate raving into, "So, it's like Buffy, then? Hate the title character love the friends and enemies?"

wow. I feel exactly the same way as you. When I went to watch season 1 again on DVD I loved everyone pretty much except Izzie who drove me nuts. I think it might be a personality thing, who knows.

But I've been meaning to ask you, how do you feel about the whole Meredith/George thing? Oh, and don't worry about spoilers for episodes I haven't seen, I'm not spoilerphobic at ALL when it comes to Grey's Anatomy.

It's weird to like nearly all the characters in a real way, where they feel like human beings.

I don't watch actual television that's about real life. It's weird to do that. I dunno. When Denny dies I will probably stop watching.

The only females I like are Cristina and Bailey. Oh and Callie, but she's not a regular so she doesn't count. This show, to me, is the "Bailey, George (although not so much, lately, cos he's acting or was acting like Meredith), Cristina, Burke, sometimes Alex, and McDreamy ONLY because Loverboy was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid" show. Meredith and Izzie? They're too Ally McBeal for me. Like, no. I don't really have any feelings for Addison cos that would imply I actually gave a shit about the whole WWDC (Who Will Derek Choose?) thing.

Hey, my favorite GA woman (aside from Bailey, natch) is Addison, so I'm all about the unpopular GA opinions. I don't give a good fuck about McDreamy's! Agonizing! Choice! He made his choice, now everybody should get the fuck on with their life.

I don't dislike Izzie, but I think that may be more because I find KH hot and less because her character is not frustrating. Plus I'm rooting for Alex the way I always root for the sulky underdog, which makes it harder to like her also.

But yeah. Bailey rocks.
