Last night (okay, more like this morning) I had a dream that I was hanging out at vylit's house, but she was trying to get me to go home because John Sheppard was supposed to meet me there. I presume we were dating (???) but she was all you have to go home now, he has a surprise for you. To which I was all, um, what? Okay, the surprise? He was wearing pink underwear under a trenchcoat. I don't know how I knew about the underwear, but a) I think it had RUFFLES and b) .... Anyroad, I went home, opened the door to the flat, and he was there and I immediately woke up, because I prefer not to be scarred for life if it's all the same to you, Vi.

First she screws me over with the rageprufrock-trade and now this!

I have been SO goddamn productive this week! I wrote more this week than I've written in the last month! I wrote SGA That's No Way to Tell a Lie; BSG If You're the Answer, What's the Question? (Kara-centric) and The Great, Tragic Man!Pain of Commander Lee Adama (so self explanatory). Go team hackthis!

It's the most wonderful time of the year, children, I mean yuletide. I fucking LOVE me some yuletide! I've done it all three years it's been active, and so far I've written The Usual Suspects, Spider-Man 2, and Grey's Anatomy. There's just something so refreshing about the sheer terror of getting your recepient's request and thinking Oh shit, I don't even know these other two choices. What fandoms are these? What the hell? I am SO fucked! I better make this shit work. It's amazing what you can pull out of your ass when you're that pressed. Plus, one of the best things about yuletide is seeing what else everyone else has done. Where else are you going to get fantabulous stores in Calvin & Hobbes or Four Weddings and a Funeral or Absolutely Fabulous?

This year I've gone ahead and submitted the six fandom I am all about, which I don't really think will be a surprise to anyone: Entourage, GA (I'm hunting for that Callie/Alex or Alex/Addison (actually more on this later), Kitchen Confidential (viva KC), Dead Like Me (RIP), Temeraire, and uh, O11. I know. I am cheap for the president.

This is really just my way of saying if you're thinking of trying ye Ol' Yule Partay I cannot recommend it highly enough.

ETA: NUTS! By virtue of the 1400+ stories on ff.net Grey's isn't considered a rare fandom anymore. Ah, well, elynross said just because they're not writing what you want doesn't make it obscure. But that then begs my question, flist, who the hell is writing Grey's cos I know it's none of you hags!

** I'm going to bust out with the Grey's het this week or the next, because Alex/Addison and Alex/Callie are where it's at. Oh yis. Meanwhile, POLL TIME!

I...I can't decide! It's kind of half and half between Bailey and Addison right now. And Alex/Addison makes my brain explode. In a good way. In a really, really, good way.

That was a difficult poll! I might have said George was my favourite at one time, but he's irritated me lately. Cristina is pretty much the most consistent character, along with Burke, though he's a wee bit dull. Callie is loopy, Meredith makes me stabby, Derek should be castrated. My love for Bailey keeps growing though. As for Izzie, well, I know you hate her, but she's a close run for my favourite character. And I like Joe too! Good old Joe.

Alex does some decent things every now and then, but his arrogance (in someone who's not in a position to be that arrogant) continues to appall me.

We're so not going to agree here, are we. *g*
