Ye ole bitchery

1. Today something occurs that I haven't cared about it a very very long time. In fact, if [livejournal.com profile] serialkarma hadn't reminded me it was occurring I would've forgotten all over again, even though I told myself I had to see it to believe it. What is this auspicious occasion you ask? The premiere of The O.C.. And why am I watching it? Well, if you haven't seen the spoilers I won't tell you, but dude, if it's promising what it says it is? Well, who knows. People without fandoms are prone to backsliding into old relationships.

2. [livejournal.com profile] amberlynne loves me. You all wish you had an [livejournal.com profile] amberlynne, but this one is all mine and if you try to poach her I will stab you in the hand with a fork. Try me. I've done it before.

3. Snow Patrol fans, prepare for a huge deluge. You notice I haven't even said anything about [edited by attorneys for [livejournal.com profile] hackthis]– but I am very interested in the Gary/Lisa Hannigan song written by the guy from BellX1. Anybody got that?

4. Today is the last day to sign up for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide if you are so inclined. People who haven't participated in The Ol'Yule before, and hell, those who have too, I recommend a little refresher course offered by [livejournal.com profile] liviapenn on Recipient etiquette and How Not to Be an Ungrateful Tool, err, How Not to Ruin Yuletide. Because really, bitching that your writer didn’t write the story you requested exactly the way you wanted, and woe how they suck, because it's not exactly what you wanted is pretty much the height of crass rudeness, and I guarantee that when you are roasting in hell, no one will even spit on you to put out the fire. It's called a 'request' not a commandment. Be happy that person attempted at all. If it's not what you wanted, then hey, maybe you should have WRITTEN IT YOUR DAMN SELF. Furthermore, people will check your LJ to see how you respond, so, uh trashing the person who wrote for you later, like they probably won't find out? Wow, tacky and rude.

That is all. Carry on.

In regards to The O.C., I am as excited as a little kid on Christmas Eve. We had a very ugly breakup at the beginning of the third season, but then...well, then they killed Marissa Cooper. And that was a love letter from Josh Schwartz to me.

From all the reviews I've been reading, the first four episodes are actually on par with the relationships that were established in season 1, and even if it's not AS good as it was, even if it's only marginally better, I feel like on account of the MARISSA DEATH, I owe them at least four episodes.

You know how you break up with somebody because he's an ambitionless pothead who lives in his parents' basement, but then he comes around a year later and he's got his own apartment and has embraced personal hygeine and is now holding down a steady job and wants another chance? And he has really pretty green eyes and a nice smile so you give him that chance even if you know you could get hurt again?

That's me and The O.C.

I haven't watched it, since, well, it's been so long I couldn't tell you. Whatever happened to Zach? Never mind, don't answer that. All I care about is that Bright is supposed to be there AND -- AND, Ryan's supposed to go to Berkeley. All I need now is Jamie and I may have to -- I dunno, think of something. Is it really on against GA though, cos, um, huh. It would have to be SUPER good -- or, GA could just keep pissing me off like it has been, who knows.
