I always liked that Nathan and Peter were apart in age. It makes the power dynamic between them more believable for me: Peter always pushing, Nathan grumbling, but invariably delivering. This really worked for me, though, 'cause Nathan's essential Nathan-ness shines through: his bossiness, his sense of duty to his family, his not-so-hidden devotion to Peter. It's a great remix of canon.
