I give up.

I am having a really shitty time of it right now, because whomever said wild women don't get the blues was a liar, and I would love to see lots of things that make you guys happy: happy stories, happy songs, happy pictures, fuck it, it could just be a smiley face. Mostly I just need happy things. Please?

blue food.

Blue cotton candy is my favorite, but blue rasberry icees are right up there.

I don't know ... staring at this icon always makes me smile. :)

Um. Um.

Oh, I have one!

Picture the look on Tim's face the first time Landry bugs him for information on how to woo Tyra.

Christopher Walken SNL sketches (http://www.brohans.com/2007/02/13/videos-ive-got-a-fever-and-the-only-prescription-ischristopher-walken-snl-sketches) bring the joy like nothing else in my book.

Also? You. ♥

Er. But not for the same reasons. Okay, maybe a little. *sassy wink*

*HUGS*

Lately, I've been thinking of Peter doing some amateur prostituting of himself in a fit of youthful rebellion, and Nathan finding out about it, and then showing Peter that he's seriously small time when it comes to being transgressive.

Um. But maybe that just makes you cry? *is sorry if so*

A man walked into a bar and said 'ow'.

.....Sorry, I've got nothing but lame internet hugs. ♥

Try those? If you live in New York, I can bring you chocolate orange cupcakes I made last night! But I don't think you do. Virtual chocolate?
I don't think I have any really interesting music on my work computer. Did you ever hear the KT Tunstull cover of Get Your Freak on? I.......shouldn't have that on my work computer ferchristsake, but I seem to!

A couple of weeks ago my son's cat kept meowing and it was his sad, mournful meow. I called to him and usually he'll come running, but this time he kept meowing.

Following the meows, I saw him upstairs, outside my daughter's bedroom. I called for him again, patting my leg to encourage him to come and still he sat there.

When I went upstairs to see if he was hurt, he pawed at my daughter's door, which was shut. Upon opening it, my daughter's cat (who almost never meows) came running out. He'd been trapped inside.

So my son's cat refused to move until my daughter's cat had been rescued.

Gord Downie of The Tragically Hip performing If I Had A Hammer. (http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=batch_download&batch_id=OHo2T20xUnJrWTk1VEE9PQ) It is oddly happy making and I just love it.

My ferrets just got a dirt box! That's just a big cardboard box full of potting soil. They have been taking turns jumping in and vigorously excavating. When they jump out, they have black dirt caked on their little faces and paws, and they look so pleased with themselves!! (I wish I could say the same thing for my carpet, but sadly, no.)

I am very, very biased when it comes to this kid, but happy kids=good, in my book. (http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a218/XxPadfootMoonyxX/family/?action=view&current=576e866e.jpg)

Watching The Joy Of Painting (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeUC3gBLcZM) on YouTube is usually my half hour road to well-being :)

Them happy little trees will mellow you right out. Maybe even against your will!

Natalie Portman's skit on SNL as an mp3. (http://www.sendspace.com/file/5zc2l0)

As I was looking this up on my desktop, the file came up on my iPod. Out of 4000 songs. True story.

Cowboy Love by the Reverend Horton Heat (http://www.sendspace.com/file/ipub3b)(sendspace), which is funny and so makes me laugh.
Better Not Look Down by BB King (http://www.sendspace.com/file/84qm46)(sendspace) which is uplifting and so makes me happy.
Bobbin' for Apples by Regina Spektor (http://www.yousendit.com/download/dklyS3hRT01iV3g1VEE9PQ)(YSI), which is quirky and makes me hiccup.
Aside from the hiccuping, I hope they work for you.

I find Ugly Dolls (see icon) very happymaking.

Also, the Romance Novel Cover Snark (http://www.smartbitchestrashybooks.com/index.php/C12/) so funny I cry (good tears!) while reading it, especially this page, because the Buttsecks Owl is not to be missed . . . and I am 12 on the inside (http://www.smartbitchestrashybooks.com/index.php/C12/P40/).

I hope things improve for you.

So i came across this song today - Flame Chicken Lips by Bell x1 (http://www.sendspace.com/file/niq3wy)

It's fun and infectious and made me want to 70's-disco-dance. Maybe that will help?

Also if SGA still floats your boat, and you can abide romantic stuff right now then there are a plethora of great little ficlets here (http://sheafrotherdon.livejournal.com/118251.html).

I hope you feel happier soon.

I don't know if you know the band The Fall at all, but I d1scovered anew this morning that reading their reviews (http://www.visi.com/fall/gigography/bib.html) is a pretty effective mood lifter, even when I haven't heard the particular album being reviewed.

Um, there's blowing up critters (http://novelconcepts.co.uk/FlashElementTD/) to be had.

Also, chortling babies (http://purplefruit.clubmom.com/purple_is_a_fruit/2007/02/viral_laughter.html).

I don't know what kind of time you have on your hands, but here are 101 classic Christmas specials (http://www.fanpop.com/spots/christmas/soapbox/64)--shows, videos, even commercials.

Hope things start looking up.
