Oh, well, if you're passing the crack pipe this way....

This morning I recieved an e-mail from [livejournal.com profile] heidi8 with a link from Greg Beeman's blog that contains the original Heroes pilot script. You know, the one where Nathan and Peter are twins.

I'll give you a moment.

Now, yes, I did write a little story about this idea, but my twins were identical (you can chose who you want them to look like) and they certainly weren't named Ethan and Harrison Campbell. I'll give you another moment to process this.

And. (Yes, there is an 'and' Virginia).

Truly, I didn't think the Petrellis/Campbells could be any gayer than what you have on TV, but reading the pilot and knowing now what I know and having written it already, I gotta say, "If they had made them twins, reality might have exploded." BroYay to the Twin-Factor would be a vortex of hotassery. I didn't think I would need to revisit the twin-verse. Now? I'm not so sure.

Petrellis for the win, y'all. Also, I hope everyone read Graphic Novel #28 from the NBC website too, because it has *looks around furtively* Baby!Nathan. Yeah. I know.

ETA: There are some really interesting changes from the pilot script to the pilot itself, FYI. For example: Zach used to be Zoe. *pauses* OMG! Harrison calls their mom a crack whore! And they had their own language! FTW!

Sorry, I had the wrong link up for the pilot, the right one is up now!

Wherein Harrison (the Nathan that was) says, "You're my better half! The nicest guy on the planet!"?
Yeah, guess they did. But if they'd been twins we wouldn't have had Pasdar or we wouldn't have had Ventimiglia. And that would've made the show less wonderful. So it's an okay trade, isn't it?

they could have been non-identical. That would have been fine. I would have lived. I don't know if I'll ever be able to look Kring in the face if I get to meet him. I might just end up crying.

Yeah, we never could've had that. I wouldn't be watching the show if Nathan weren't Nathan. Also, can we all just refer to the last page of the script where what happens?

Ethan (Peter) tells Harrison (Nathan) that he loves him.

Well of course he does yes. He is his better half. Heh.

When I read that Harrison called him his better half my jaw hit the floor. You can't be any more married than that. Also, randomly, can I just say that if they're 34 and there are no women in the picture? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Totally married. For the win.

Dude, it's okay.

You ever notice how Nathan has told Peter he loves him twice -- albeit when he's unconscious and can't hear him -- but has Peter EVER told Nathan he loves him? I think not. How is everybody on Peter's side again? *stomps off in a huff*

Because if you stand on Peter's side you get a really good view of Nathan, of course!
