Hiatus continues. But I have recs.

1. It is my hope to write something -- ANYTHING -- one day soon for [livejournal.com profile] scribblinlenore. I know that's mighty vague, but trust me, I need to be that vague if I'm going to produce anything that's not me shrieking DAMNIT!

2. Should the apocalypse come this weekend, I am [livejournal.com profile] hackthis on Greatest Journal and Insane Journal, but not JournalFen. Whomever that is, it's not me.

3. [livejournal.com profile] romanticalgirl wrote lovely Neville & Luna, The Age of Not Believing. I LOVE Neville & Luna. If I wrote het, I would write them nonstop.

4. [livejournal.com profile] sparky77 has finally started listening to me about what she needs to watch. First I got her hooked on Burn Notice and lately she's been all about the Psych action. She's so about the Psych action that in my comments she wrote a wee Heroes/Psych x-over 5 Confessions Carlton Lassiter Never Got (in no particular order). You wish you had a [livejournal.com profile] sparky77.

5. Heroes people I have been keeping well away from fandom because if I get spoiled *again* lives will be lost, and yet I came across What It Is and What It Is Not, which is a Nathan/Peter story (NC-17) by [livejournal.com profile] mandysbitch and MY GOD. In the summer hiatus I tend to forget about the things that make me love Heroes (except for Adrian Pasdar, because one does not forget Adrian Pasdar) but this, this story just blew me away. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Really.

6. Where are my people who are watching Mad Men at? COME. ON. It's got people canonically in the closet, a serial adulterer, real women who look like real women and Conner from Angel. Where's the fic? Where're the fans? Help me out here.

7. So, I'm watching Starter for 10 the other day, because I want to have James McAvoy's babies and in the middle of me thinking EEEE! I suddenly pause and shriek Dakin! I heart Dakin. He and James and are very slashy in Starter for 10. Just saying. Also, I read this tremendous The History Boys story from the [livejournal.com profile] yuletide archive... which uh, suddenly isn't in the archive. Strange that.

8. Can anybody hook me up with the Guillemots (I have who Left the Lights Off) and/or Stephen Fretwell by any chance? I'm in the exploring stages with these two artists, and things seem to be at that precarious stage where I'm either in love or going to write them off. Dunno just yet.

I just watched The History Boys this weekend and have some comments on it on my LJ--but also minor Walk The Line spoilers in the same post. I was wondering why there weren't any stories in [livejournal.com profile] yuletide. That is very weird.

Dakin is too sexy to be believed. Thanks for the Starter for 10 rec.

I'm not really sure what happened there, it's rather odd. It's as though the whole fandom just vanished. I'd read the story a few months ago and was thrilled and then was making recs today and remembered it. I don't know where it's gone, but Dakin is just yes.

I think perhaps we were looking the wrong place, the stories aren't under 'The History Boys', but under 'Alan Bennett - The History Boys'. I know. [livejournal.com profile] chicklet_girl found the story I was talking about, Somewhere One Day (http://www.yuletidetreasure.org/archive/27/somewhereone.html)

Thank you! It is excellent.

And I don't know why it was filed that way, but I'm glad someone found it.

I suspect at the time the category was created it was being listed as a play, not that I've seen plays listed -- well, that's not true. Maybe. I dunno!
