Y’all, are like, not helping here!
Was somebody gonna tell me that Tom was raised in an orphanage or what? I mean I’ve only read all four books three times each, but shit, I can still miss stuff. HELLO?! I know you’re out there. ::checks info page:: all 89 of you. Eighty-nine? WTF?
Introductions are nice, or so I’ve heard. *g*
Crimes of the Heart - Lex
this was not inspired by this photo, but fuck it, it’s hot anyway.
It is a scientific impossibility for a heart to be broken.
A heart can be cut and torn, stitched and stapled, but a heart cannot be broken. A heart is made of flesh and muscle; it pumps blood. It’s soft and mushy, and it can’t break.
A heart is not sentient, it can’t breathe or think or feel.
Hearts don’t feel. People feel.
People breathe, even when their lungs are crushed. People think, even when they’re minds are confused. People feel, even when they feel nothing.
People are the ones burdened down by emotions. People can be broken.
Losing Clark would break Lex, and it’s far better for Lex not to love him at all.
No matter what his heart says.

Crimes of the Heart – Draco
They sit next to each other in Potions and their knees touch. It’s wrong and painful, and Draco’s chest tightens and he has trouble breathing. Every time Draco looks at Harry Potter it hurts and aches, and Draco feels violated.
Proximity is no excuse.
Draco is loyal. He is obedient. A better son his father could never have. A better son, his mother would never want. His parents don’t know the secrets that he harbours about green flashes of light and curses and their unmarked graves.
Draco has never heard the word ‘love’ used in his home.
Ignorance is no excuse.
Proximity to a crime is no excuse for not knowing of its occurence. Of it’s inevitable existence. Not all magic comes from wands and books, and all Draco’s life he’s been told to be aware of his surroundings.
He never thought that something this big could happen under his nose. Love is something that happens to other (weaker) people.
Love is no excuse.
At night Draco dreams about killing Harry Potter, not because he wants to, but because he has no choice. There is no excuse for the weakness that love brings; and it’s better to kill what you love than live long enough to destroy it.
