1. Burn Notice returns July 10th. Just 72 more days. Yes, I am that desperate for something I enjoy. Not that I don't enjoy Gossip Girl. And not that I'm not totally thinking about writing Nate and Vanessa, because dude, they are adorable and total cliche, but again, so CUTE. Also, how does Chuck manage to look good in the crap they put him in. He was wearing a green striped shirt over a checked shirt over a PINK tee shirt, and he still looked hot. Damn.

2. There is apparently this show called Being Human that I need to see, because it has Rudge from The History Boys. Oh, wise flist... how do I make this happen? ETA: After many, MANY false starts I have achieved Being Human. I've watched five minutes and am already besotted like a matron who refuses to accept that John Barrowman is gay.

3. SK has decided that I need to see some German soap with slash. I know not the name, but I know the intended targets are Christian and Oliver. I like Oliver. It's a good name. Oliver Wood. Oliver Twist. Yes.

4. I would marry Mike Rowe.

5. Being sick is bullshit. Being sick and my Greek DVDs not arriving is past bullshit and straight into cruelty.

I've only been sucked into the whole crazy gay soap pairing of American daytime, Luke/Noah. They are full of cute and their story arc starts fabulously but I must admit the soap overall has such cheesy crazy shit happening, I dunno if you'd be interested.

Then again, the German soap is by no means free of cheesefest either. I mean, hell, it's soaps.

I must admit I'm mostly just lazy - I understand German a little bit but not enough to watch clips unsubbed and thus the English soap madness is just easier to get into. But Olli/Christian do kiss more and are a more realistic gay couple than Luke/Noah, I have to admit.

GERMAN SOAPS. They are all the rage. I completely wasted a day last week watching all the clips and, no joke, a vid set to "Every Time We Touch (I Get This Feeling)." You may regret it at the end, but it's so worth it. And they are adorrrrable.

ok so i checked and it doesn't have Being Human, however surfthechannel.com might just be the best new thing I've come across in ages. 1. I can't believe that you're falling for yet another het couple in Gossip Girl! I thought that the Nate and Vanessa storyline was a little too rushed, but they're so cute together that I don't care. At least you discovered Being Human now that it's FINALLY been greenlit. Some of us watched it back in the depths of winter and then had to wait and beg and pray to the gods of BBC3. It's confirmed for 2009 (spring I think) BUT there's no news yet to confirm that the actors will be the same as in the pilot.
