Distraction 103

It's less than two weeks to the deadline to sign up to vote in the upcoming US election. I don't care if you don't normally vote or you think it doesn't matter (we can debate that another day) or if you're hiding out in a Canadian shack, please, I am begging you, it's more important to vote in this election than any other you might experience in your entire lifetime, for your sake, for the sake of your family and your job and your tax dollars and your uterus, or your sister's uterus or your daughter's uterus or for that brother you have in the military or the ex-boyfriend who went overseas, so please sign up to vote. Rock that Vote on November 4th. This is your time; have your say. So help me gay baby

[Poll #1269108]

Nice! I am absolutely going to start using that. "If you don't eat your dinner right now, so help me gay baby, you're gonna get beat." See, it just flows off the tongue. XD

Although I think the more accurate version is that I came for the O.C. and then creamed my pants when you started writing dS.

(Also, I never thought I'd read Olympics RPS, but then you've gotten me to read numerous fandoms I never thought I would. <3)

[identity profile] metrosex.livejournal.com 2008-10-01 04:31 am (UTC)(link)

Was it Twentysomething? I feel like it was Twentysomething.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-10-01 04:46 pm (UTC)(link)
And it's a good thing for us, she is! *squishes*

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-10-01 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
You want to read the Olympics RPS, I know you do. Don't deny the swimmer slash. I mean how can you deny the power of my icon.

[identity profile] antheia.livejournal.com 2008-10-01 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I think I started reading Trade. Twentysomething was much later.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-10-01 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, Trade. You know, I really do just have a place in my heart for that series. I loved writing that so much. It actually occured to me that all my stories longer than 30 pages start with a 'T'

-Telegraph Avenue
-Trade
-Twentysomething
-The Way I Was Made.

I may need to rename the project I'm working on just to be consistent ;)

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-10-01 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I am very glad :)

[identity profile] antheia.livejournal.com 2008-10-01 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)

Pissing contest crack:

Michael got to ride hummer in his parade, and apparently had a military guard but I can't remember where I read that (http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5ha8R-9oAYk3dBTOYipMV9L3j4SsgD93K02180)

Ryan got a golf cart, although it was not actually a parade for him (http://www.flickr.com/photos/12032029@N03/2913172515/)

And this just happens to be my only Phelps icon. Not a comment on the content of this, uh, comment.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-10-06 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
Oh my god, Michael that hoodie is fugly, you borrowed it from Ryan didn't you? You really have to stop that. I know it's hard to get dressed at the BFs house in the morning, but at least you're both the same gender, things like this are to be avoided!

I think Ryan's parade was a few weeks back. I'm hoping he got more than a golf cart. I mean those are great when you're drunk on the golf course, but otherwise...

[identity profile] redjacket.livejournal.com 2008-10-06 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
He's always wearing that damn hoodie. I'm starting to worry about how clean it is.
He was wearing it in the Three (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=magN2AY3ev4&feature=related) commercials (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=coWGNrsNG3Y) for this private airline company (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGFHiF3QyDo&feature=related) too.

Also, Ryan had a street named after him. (http://www.jacksonville.com/apnews/stories/100508/D93KC1BO0.shtml)

That jacket was a gift from Ryan. I know it was. It probably still smells like him, or at least Michael thinks it does.

[identity profile] redjacket.livejournal.com 2008-10-07 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
...that means he totally hasn't washed it.

Oh, Michael, just "borrow" another one.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-10-07 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
Well, yes, but that's common sense and these are boys. They're like oil and water.
