Endings, beginnings and taking roll call.

Today's post is about paying "the love" forward. I feel like that doesn't happen enough. We bitch about out fandoms. About writing. About our opinions. About each other and all the times people have peed in our pockets. Today, I want to talk about things I like. Things that make me happy. So, without further ado:

Some People Who I Really Like Talking to/Hearing From/Reading About (Now in alphabetical order mostly!)

[livejournal.com profile] breakthecitysky: I friended you because I really enjoyed the snippets you wrote for S2 Southland and I'm kind of hoping you are keeping some under your mattress for a rainy day. I love your enthusiasm for your family and congratulations on your degree.

[livejournal.com profile] forsweatervests: You are kind and thoughtful and helpful and I always like talking with you. Thank you for that.

[livejournal.com profile] imogenedisease: Your fic reminds me of what I loved about Generation Kill fandom. Your enthusiasm for Walt and Ray is adorable. And I don't like hockey, but I like it when people are really into what they like. Write me some Justified fic, yis?

[livejournal.com profile] lazlet. One word: chocolate. Another word: Eleven. Chocolate-covered Eleven? I think so.

[livejournal.com profile] maurheti: Wherever did you come from? I mean I have some ideas; I did pay attention in sex ed. Whatever. I so enjoy talking to you and picking your brain and how you give things real thought, even when I'm asking inane business. I appreciate you, thank you for being yourself.

[livejournal.com profile] meret: Thank you so much for your daily news link posts. You keep me so informed I find I'm a little scared. But better to have too much information than too little (Seriously, people, if you want to be informed: read her LJ. For real, this 20 Worst Drinks in America is wild. I knew that Rockstar thing had to be bad for you).

[livejournal.com profile] moneyfolder: You do AUs. You provide music. You hate racism. Dude, how could I not appreciate that? U iz awesome!

[livejournal.com profile] no_detective: You are like the ultimate fangirl. Everything you like you are passionate about, but you manage not to bring any negativity to that. That's really fucking awesome. You even made me skim your Adam Lambert post. That's like... huge.

: It should tell you something that I don't even know how to link to a dreamwith account. Um, anyroad. Why, when I friended you, could I not read your journal? That's distressing to me! What's up with that? Because you are awesome and I always like talking to you and I should be able to talk to you more. Somebody fix this!

[livejournal.com profile] scribblinlenore: Like your partner in crime, [livejournal.com profile] no_detective, I love how happy you are in your fandoms. How you are willing to try anything twice. I have no idea how you get me to read your Adam Lambert fic though (I know it's some Jedi voodoo) and I wish you would make it stop.

[livejournal.com profile] tazical: I cannot even think how I came across you. Probably [livejournal.com profile] serialkarma. All I know is that every post from you is a guaranteed adventure. Especially if it's work related. Thank you for bringing your sense of humor with you to work (and managing to keep it).

[livejournal.com profile] the_grynne: Thank you for keeping me informed of everything entertainment related that I need to know, or want to know, or on some occasions really didn't want to know about.

[livejournal.com profile] wordsalone: I just like you. You're kind and thoughtful and helpful, that's a lot these days.

PORN SWAT: I realized a while ago that my GK days are long over, but you made every last one of them enjoyable. Thank you for your time and inspiration and inappropriate jokes. Y'all are awesome. Please go take over the world now so we can get to fixing it.

And last, but never least, to everybody who reads this LJ: Thank you for your time, your help, your invaluable intelligence and music collections. Thank you for your support. I'm glad you like what I do. I hope y'all are interested in visiting Harlan County, Kentucky, because I'm pretty sure that's where we're going next (with obvious stops in Los Angeles to visit with the LAPD).

If not, that's cool too, thanks for stopping by maybe I'll see you around.

Oh hey, there's me! Shnifty! You're very awesome you know. It makes me sad to hear your GK days are over, but your Southland days are not, so I can cope.

Why when I friended you could I not read your journal? That's distressing to me! ... Somebody fix this!

There are three components to this answer: (OMG I GET TO DO A LIST YAY!!!!)

1! Open ID accounts cannot post on LJ. So if you try to read entries by my OID account, you get an error message telling you there is no such journal.

2! My account on DW is almost entirely flocked, so if you don't have a DW account, and I haven't friended said account, you can't see anything but my one GK fic, and my open letter to my hockey team.

3! If you don't have a DW account and would like one, I have invite codes. If you don't want an actual account, you can OID it up over there for friending and comments.

4! If you'd rather not deal with DW at all (and some people don't want the extra bother, which I get) you can friend my old journal [livejournal.com profile] d_i_, and I will friend you back and all will be well 'cause I crosspost everything except fic, and that's public anyway.

Fixed! Or, anyway, I think that covers how to fix it. I may have missed something. I'm doing that a lot right now. Moving sucks!!!!

It's okay, I don't pay attention to the math portion of the exam. :D

This is a good philosophy you have going here. I'm going to blame dayjob: I use up all my numbers at work so there are none left for later.
