Second of all, some of this The Social Network fic is bang on the money. I mean hot damn. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up, fine holiday fun.

And lastly, it is Sunday and all must come to sacrifice virgins and goats at the Altar of The Cumberbatch. I'm totally talking out my backside -- in our church we serve lager, vodka and Hula Hoops as offerings and withhold audiobooks if you have sinned against His Holiness.

Mostly I put this picspam together for maurheti and it seemed a shame to just delete it when I thought somebody else out there might like it, too.

Okay, this photo has to go first, because I have to get this horror out of the way. These thing on his feet. I don't even -- I almost stroked out. Silver. Silver snakeskin like he's a gambler in Blackpool with cataracts. These shoes are proof that even god fucks it up sometimes. I just. Just say no.

I mean what. Just. The eyes and the face. And also? The hair. I mean, what? This is the sort of man that turns a woman into a hair-puller.

I would call this the walk of shame, but he doesn't seem to have much shame going on. I do like that in a man.

Okay. See. This. I waffle on this. On one hand we are not sitting under the coconut tree in Havana. The colors suit each other, but it's a stretch. On the other hand... it could be much much worse. The jacket's incredibly well tailored. But the hat. It's crooked. If you're doing it, do it properly!

No, there is nothing wrong with this. This is all good. Although, photographer's stylists, can we get suits in something else besides black? Gray, brown, some pinstripes? How about a nice glenplaid? Do an old school homage?

Yes. This is a larger photo of the one above. But well, who complains about larger? Also, it really brings out the point that he is not classically handsome. His face is rather strangely arranged, but the man is sexy as hell.

Look at Martin's stupid little face! I love his face! (And his hair, god I love his hair) . And in conclusion...

I can't believe I actually let you lured me into watching this show but I did and it's AWESOME. My god..those three episodes @#$%?&*#$%?&* And Benedict looks sooooo great, even so much better in motion than in still captures, very charming. How can someone not falling in love with Sherlock? (though he's kinda selfish bitch lol!)

I'll have to politely disagree about that first suit. It's like a bad ode to Willy Wonka. That color just shouldn't be worn outside of an editorial shoot. The second one isn't bad, but the color washes him out a bit. I do quite like the set up in the third. Nice job stylist!

The silver shoes I didn't even know what to do with and the hat. God he could've done something awesome with the hat like this. This hat would have made me weep with the awesome. You see the upturn in the back and how it angles downward. If he'd cocked that over one eye every person on the gauntlet would've swooned.

This photo was supposed to be included in the montage but it refused to appear in the post and was giving me fits. So, I will post it here along with the commentary I had for it.

a) The hair is too dark. It's washing him out.
b) The hair is in his face. Stop hiding the best part.
c) Patent leather NO! NO! NO! NO!
d) However, the pink socks are a fabulous fun details and I love them.

Comparing the black hair to the natural red state or even a rich chocolate brown (like my icon) I'm going to have to say it's my least favorite. It's just too harsh considering how pale he is. It's entirely possible that's down to the dye job itself and that a different hair stylist would give him a better shade, but to me it's just bad.

His hair gets dyed a lot for various series and films and whatnot. You want to see super bad hair? Starter for 10 with James 'Hot Assssssssssss" McAvoy -- now keep in mind this is an 80s "period" film -- but uh, well, look for yourself. Oh, wait, I already commented to you about how his hair is really a character asset for him. :p

I do love the socks, but pretty much everything else has to go for me. I'm not sure what it is that I don't like about the suit, but it's just not working for me either.

And just for kicks I'll weigh in on the hair colour - I do like the darker hair better than his natural hair colour, but I've also got a ridiculous thing for the dark hair/pale skin combo, so I'm probably not an unbiased source in this case ;)
