Just your friendly neighborhood pimp

So, [livejournal.com profile] ethrosdemon made this post about people who friended her and then never said jack shit, and then she and I were talking about that, and I was like ‘Dude, I’ve got that happening, too. Why is that? Is my rep that bad? I paid a lot of money to have my record expunged, you know. If my lawyer isn't doing his job, I want to know so I can sack him.’

So, yeah.

I’m not trying to hate on anybody who’s just here for the fic, I mean that’s pretty much all that’s here anyway. If you're looking for somebody to get all personal, you should probably go elsewhere simply because that's not my thing. This LJ is just about me writing what the hell I want, when I want, but I’m dead curious why y'all are reading this and what kind of fic y’all are after. Are you working for Simon & Schuster? Are you about to give me a book deal, or better yet are you from DC Comics because I can give you some mad comic ideas? What’s your story? (I like stories, hook me up, don't salt my game.)

Random notes: Jeff Buckley is my musical hero. Seth is my sartorial twin, but I share a brain with both he and Lex. I would like to own a marginal percentage of Shady and/or Lost Highway Records. I prefer Green Park, the Northern Line and I support LFC.

Dude. I've got people like that, and I don't even write fic. Or provide pretty. Or write kick ass McWord Meta Essays. I'm not even snarky or amusing.

Speaking as a person "like that", everyone whose journals I subscribe to interests me, even if they're not necessarily of BNF stature, and boy, does that sound inflated, or what..

It is beyond me why people would friend me and not say a word. Not even a 'hi! pls friend me bak, k thx bai' and I don't know where they come from.
On occassion, I do make those kind of awkward hello posts. Sometimes I'm "friended" and sometimes I'm not. I don't take it personally (anymore) because I understand that people have their own standards of cool, or whatever it is, and anyone can't make everyone's bar sometimes.

Maybe I've just got cool people on my friends list, and therefore I'm cool by association.

I know I add people who are friends of friends, especially if their journals mentions my friends a lot even if we aren't friends or won't be anytime soon.

The persons who've friended me back, especially the persons I actually talk to via chat or email or RL -all outside of lj- have priority for comments, and I don't even have the time to make priority comments most times, so those who haven't friended me back don't even register on the radar. Besides, it's not like you need my comment. (insert -whomever- for 'you') You've got friends of your own, and avid readers, too, most likely. This is usually the scenario for authors with a huge "friends of" list.

Just my two cents.

As a direct aside to hackthis: I think you've found your one true fandom in The OC.

Maybe it's because I have gaps of having missed reading some of the fandoms that you've done, but it seems like whatever the fuck *it* is, you've honed it, and it shows.

*laughs* You wouldn't be biased or anything would you?

Thank you very much, that's very sweet of you to say. Would you liked a cookie?
