Less of a meme and more of a youyou

(gacked from [livejournal.com profile] obsessedmuch)

I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your fic, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes spinach."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal.

My personal goal is: to get over my writer's block, write my Obscure Santa thingy, and perhaps do something illegal this weekend.

I aim high.

I do like spinach. Especially the spinach souflee that Stoffers makes. I cannot spell or punctuate for my life - yet was somehow able to graduate with an English major from college. I am excessively obsessive and your fabulous fic does nothing for this problem. I love fantasy/sci fi in books, movies and TV. Books in general are good things and I have more than twice as many books as I have space for them on my bookshelves. I wrote a 50,000 word novel in November doing nanowrimo (http://www.nanowrimo.org) and am proud to be able to introduce myself as a novelist who has included such things as: The Corset O' Doom (which transports breasts into another dimension in order to stop them getting in the way), The Ogres of Aaaaarrrrggghhh (whose fighting technique consists of picking someone up and then swinging them into someone else) and Geoff the god of Biscuits (a blatant homage to Eddie Izzard) into my novel.

I heart Eddie Izzard. He's the world's best executive transvestite. Also, I so know what you mean aboutthe spell and punctuation thing, that's totally what spellcheck is for. English majors are about reading and writing, all that other stuff isn't relevant!

Also, this is how bored i am at work because our network is down: I am going through and reading the comments to all these posts that people have put up in their ljs. Is that not sad?

No, you need to come over and check out the people in my LJ. I'll be answering comments until I die.
