(gacked from [livejournal.com profile] obsessedmuch)

I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your fic, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes spinach."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal.

My personal goal is: to get over my writer's block, write my Obscure Santa thingy, and perhaps do something illegal this weekend.

I aim high.

I don't like spinach unless it appears in dip form, then again, most things are better in dip form. Except people. Dippy people are of the bad. But dipping people *in* dip is of the good. You'll have to excuse me, I will be seeing Ryan Adams in just over 4 hours and my brain has melted from the excitement. Carry on.

But that wasn't the random thing I thought I'd post. Instead, I'll admit that I'm horrid with directions. Horrid, horrid, horrid. I don't know west from east from south, have no concept of how far a mile is, and tend to get lost. A lot.

I will strive to make no mention of food at all in this comment. :) And, er, my favorite book is Melanie Thernstrom's The Dead Girl (http://www.oceanstar.com/true-crime/tcreviews-t.htm) and it's out of print, so every time I go to used bookstores I look for it, and I buy every copy I see and then give it to, well, everyone I know and like. I think I've bought and given away over 20 copies of the book. That's sort of weird and, hey, does not involve food!

I don't think I have deep spinach issues. When I was litte I used to not eat any vegetables at all. Instead, I'd pick out every tiny pea or carrot or whatever, and line them up around my dish. I don't do that anymore, but my mom is still convinced I don't somehow eat my vegetables.

woo! me too. i still don't use recreational drugs. but a few years after graduating, i went back to my college (to visit [livejournal.com profile] camillafarfalla) and drank so much at a party/dance that i vomitted in the campus center bathroom and lay around on the floor of said bathroom (where i was seen by my future girlfried) until public safety officers helped me back to camilla's room.

two days later i still had a hangover. i also had a huge hicky i couldn't remember getting but had to cover with a scarf while at work - since i was dating a guy at work and did not want to have to come up with an explanation. yeah.

i learned my lesson and have never been that drunk since.

doo dee doo da.

i:

- am more of a visual than a textual person. meaning, i really like writing, but my thing is dealing with images. painting, drawing, collaging.
- love to read. it is an intrinsic part of me, like, say, my skin. there is nothing like the smell and feel of a new book, and nothing like the warmth of an old and loved one.
- am a sucker for your fanfiction. your stories are realistic, and solid, and plausible, and refreshing, and different, and i could just roll naked around in them.
- don't really like spinach.
- love chocolate, though. and pasta.
- will make you iconses soon.
- really would like to talk more with you.

Well, I'm from Tijuana, Mexico and have been online for many, many moons now, at least on internet time.
