Less of a meme and more of a youyou

(gacked from [livejournal.com profile] obsessedmuch)

I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your fic, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes spinach."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal.

My personal goal is: to get over my writer's block, write my Obscure Santa thingy, and perhaps do something illegal this weekend.

I aim high.

Hi! *waves* I'm Amy. I'm a second-year English major/Theatre Arts minor in Hamilton, Ontario. I'm a geek, (thus the screen name) and a vegetarian. Spinach is good, though I'm not sure if it's my favourite vegetable. I think mushrooms win in that category. Although mushrooms, spinach and feta omelettes are the best things ever... Um. My favourite book is The Giver by Lois Lowery - I read it in grade seven for the first time and i think I've read it thirty times since then. I like all sorts of music and all sorts of people and dancing in the rain. When it's warm. Cold rain, not so much. I think vampires are the coolest supernatural creatures (beating out warewolves, hags, and even Severus Snape) and I want to be an imp in my next life.

I don't like feta, but I love mushrooms. Mushrooms rock. What's it like in Hamilton?

Hamilton

Hamilton is great - it's got Hess Village, which is artsy and funky, and it's got an amazing downtown. I come from a sheep farm, so any sort of downtown is cool to me.
One downside is that Hamilton has the highest population of kids living under the poverty line in the entirety of Canada. Not so great. But I'm working on that.
Um, I haven't seen much more than that of Hamilton - I actually live on campus outside of Hamilton proper, and not having a car, I don't get out much. I enjoy going downtown when I can, but that doesn't happen too often. Lots of cool people live here. Great pubs. I enjoy it, in general.
