Less of a meme and more of a youyou

(gacked from [livejournal.com profile] obsessedmuch)

I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your fic, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes spinach."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal.

My personal goal is: to get over my writer's block, write my Obscure Santa thingy, and perhaps do something illegal this weekend.

I aim high.

a. heh! I've only destroyed towels so far:)
b. isn't it great?
c. nope, haven't seen that ep. my fish was named blacky (mavroulis)
d. I have 11 kaleidoscopes. out of them only two are really expensive - and those were gifts. most of them are simple two or three mirror scopes.

my personal favourites are three: the first kaleidoscope I ever got (from my paediatrician, he had it at his lobby and when he retired he gave it to me because he knew how much I loved it). it was made in India and it works with semi-precious stones.

the other one is a scope I found in Monastiraki (a bazaar in Athens where you can find used and inexpensive stuff). this one has a wooden base and it used to be a child's toy - you can see the carved initials. you look through it like you would from a microscope. it's really old, but unfortunately the guy that sold it to me didn't know where he got it from.

and my last favourite is the newest one to find:) I bought it from this small magic shop a couple of weeks ago. the eye hole is a painting of a real eye, it uses liquid with moons and stars and is absolutely beautiful.
