Less of a meme and more of a youyou

(gacked from [livejournal.com profile] obsessedmuch)

I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your fic, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.

But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she likes spinach."

I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal.

My personal goal is: to get over my writer's block, write my Obscure Santa thingy, and perhaps do something illegal this weekend.

I aim high.

I was at theater camp, barely 14 years old, and the boy that I had liked all summer finally asked me to dance. I wish I could remember the song. anyway, we're dancing and talking and he goes to dip me, but does it all weird and I lost my balance. I threw my leg up, hoping to balance myself out but instead my leg jolts in some weird way and my kneecap popped off. I freaked out and let go of him and he let go too, so I went down to the ground pretty hard. in doing so I pushed my cap BACK on and cracked it down the middle. ouch.

everyone thought he had just dropped me or something so they were laughing. The people running the lights even put the spotlight on me. it wasnt until he screamed at them because I was hysterically crying that they realized something was wrong. I spent the last week of camp in a wheelchair. and he didnt really talk to me after that.

at the next dance, some of the directors would come over the speaker and chant "dip her dip her dip her" every time I tried to dance with someone!
