In accordance with
slodwick’s decree:
This time last year I was answering questions about myself. However. I am notoriously cagey and tend to be rather private so, we’re not going to do that again this year. Instead, if you want, I want you to tell me more about yourselves. Anything you want to tell me. It can be about your favorite colour or your favorite singer or your favorite kind of toothpaste. Tell me about your favorite book or your favorite kind of sneaker. Who was the first person you kissed? What’s your favorite city? If you were Supreme Dictator/Il Duce, who would you strand on a desert island? Do you think you’re kinky or is it vanilla all the way? What’s your favorite quote? What's your favorite comic? Who do you want to play poker with after you die? What the hell are we all doing here? Are you into DIY?
Tell me something. Enlighten me.

I like to think I've raised my standards in the years since then.

What don't you already know?
Uhhhhhh...
I'm intensely afraid of heights, and as a way of trying to overcome that, have done insanely stupid things, like jumping off a roof and fracturing both ankles. ;-)

I want to lecture there, have book signings and readings there. I want to be married there. When I die, I want to be cremated and have my ashes spread out over the lake.

The first time I got kissed was in 6th grade. I was in the play The Wizard of Oz at the art center in Chicago, and I'd been "dating" this boy named Mike for a couple weeks. He was playing the Tinman, I was playing the Scarecrow.
We were walking up the stairs to get into the wings, because I had to go on and sing one of my stupid little songs in like two minutes, and the stairs were all dark and cobwebby, and right when we got to the top, he just leaned over and kissed me.
I went totally nonverbal and froze up, because I couldn't fucking believe that just happened. The stage manager had to push me out onto the stage, and since Mike was playing the fucking Tinman, I went onstage with a ton of silver facepaint smeared all over my lips and chin instead of the yellow stuff that I was supposed to be wearing.
It's fun, because it's like Wizard of Oz slash, but it's not really.
So, that's something about me. Hee.

Now I'm gonna be a surpreme dork and answer all these questions:
My favorite color: Blue
My favorite singer: Melissa Etheridge (rock), U2 (band) George Strait (country), Harry Connick Jr (easy listening)
My favorite kind of toothpaste: I really like Crest.
My favorite book: Stephen King's It. I love the magic of friendship and the power of belief, the Losers who save the world, and best of all, King gets it that clowns are evil, yo.
My favorite kind of sneaker: Nike. I was just raised on them, played sports in them, am still loyal to this day. They love and support my flat feet and weak ankles.
The first person I kissed: Cody. He was sixteen, I was thirteen, my daddy may have had his first heart attack when he realized we were a thing. Anyway, yeah. He tasted like Dr. Pepper, which I hate, but he kissed gooooood.
My favorite city: Baltimore. Followed closely by LA, believe it or not. Navigation friendly streets and things I like to do go a long way towards making me happy in a strange city.
Who Supreme Me/Il Deunce would strand on a desert island: You mean banish to one, right? Since I'm not stranding them with me? Okay, banishment would be...hmm. Jenny on The L Word. With Lana from Smallville. Because I can't think about stuff like that IRL, or the FBI will come after me. *g*
Am I kinky or is it vanilla all the way?: I look vanilla, but I've got some kinks. Biting, bondage, breath play, twincest.
My favorite quote: My own? The universe is right on schedule. Uh, by a famous person? "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you." -Friedrich Nietzsche
Who I want to play poker with after I die: Dude, the Rat Pack!
What the hell we're all doing here: Learning. Umm, gazing into the abyss? Writing porn?

your favorite kind of toothpaste: Colgate whitening gel
your favorite book: "Wizard and Glass" - Stephen King
your favorite kind of sneaker: Addidas
who was the first person you kissed? My ex, sad enough. In a car after a Cheap Trick concert.
What’s your favorite city? Never been to New Orleans but I claim it as my favorite simply because I've always wanted to go.
Do you think you’re kinky or is it vanilla all the way? Kink. Of course. ;)
What the hell are we all doing here? Wasting time between new episodes.
Are you into DIY? I am, I'm rabid about DIY projects that I want to do and can't get the money together to begin. I watch far too many TLC shows than can be healthy for me and in a dream world, Vern Yip would arrive on my doorstep and tell me he wants to remodel my entire apartment free of charge.
Don't you feel happy you asked?

Favorite City? New York.
If I were Supreme Dictator, I would strand all of the people that are responsible for Reality TV on a desert island. Included in that bunch would be people who can cancel 'Jake 2.0' and yet leave 'The MULLETS' on the air.
Hmmm. I'm definitely not a vanilla guy. How bout 2 scoops: Coffee, and Rum Raisin?
Favorite Quote: "Frankly My Dear? I don't give a damn."
Comic: Superman.
Poker: George Burns. The man can deliver ANYTHING with a straight face. Should be interesting.
What are we doing? Wasting time.
Dude. DIY is my mantra! Fireplace mantel, electrical wiring, plumbing, PC hardware builds. Hardwood floors. I wanna try supercharging an engine, but THAT one I'll probably not touch til NEXT truck.

all about lil 'ol me
music: I enjoy such a variety of singers/bands that I don't think I could ever choose one.
oral hygiene is next to godliness: I brush with crest whitening and an electric toothbrush (a purple one of course).
Reading Is Fundamental:I love The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brian.

smoochies? a boy named Rob while we were at a church function.
fav city? I LOVE Philly.
If I were in charge or the world? I will strand several of my former college roommates on an island.
vanilla or kink? absolutly with the kink
quote: "The man of my dreams must be able to cook really good pancakes and make me come. Preferably at the same time. In a pinch, I'll settle for the pancakes" ~ Forward Motion (a play written by my friend John Elliot)
Post-death poker game: I'm really bad at poker so maybe Mother Theresa and some other sainted people who can't lie. ;-)
What are we doing? This question makes my head hurt.

Myself, really. Obviously I'd make sure it was equipt with an airconditioned shack, internet, Tivo, food & drink, and a couple of kittens before I arrived. But no people. Right now I'm feeling over-whelmed, boxed in, and very peopled out.
