All that fannish news that's kinda interesting.

The video for Snow Patrol’s ‘Run’ is fucking gorgeous with the flares and the Irishmen and the scenery... and the Irishmen. I remember when [livejournal.com profile] spasticat and I thought were the only people in the world who knew who they were and now, videos!

Things to chew on:

1. The trailer for Batman Begins is out. Not feeling really impressed here, but I'm sure [livejournal.com profile] happyminion will be pleased to note that I think Christian Bale rates very high on my creepy-meter. Maybe high enough to be Bruce, we'll see.

2. I haven’t been talking a lot about the Fantastic Four casting, because I keep hoping if I close my eyes it’ll all be a big joke, but alas Jessica Alba is still Sue Storm. *sigh* But apparently there’s buzz about making Dr Christian ‘I am the a Super-dysfunctional-pimp‘ Troy Julian Mahon into Dr. Doom, which would be excellent slash with Reed, err, Ioan Gryffund. Yum.

3. I highly recommend reading [livejournal.com profile] lalejandra's present for [livejournal.com profile] serialkarma; it has a lot of really thought-provoking shit about Draco and Neville and the looming war. It'll make you reconsider who's on the right side after all. That'll teach people to point fingers at Slytherins and all.

1. Snow Patrol rules in multiple ways.

2. That's because Christian Bale IS creepy. I had to watch American Psycho in the film lab to write a paper on it, and it was fucking embarrassing. All these people kept walking by right at the part where there were threesomes, or people getting hacked up with chainsaws, and I wanted to put up a sign that said "I swear I am only watching this for class."

2a. But he's very cute in Little Women.

3. Jessica Alba is not Sue Storm. She's not. SHE'S NOT. Click your heels three times and they'll cast Rachel McAdams instead.

I find him so unattractive, I think I find him anti-attractive. Excuse me, repellant. Yes. He's not ugly; he's just disconcerting. That's it; I find him disconcerting in the bad way, not in the 'oooh, car-crash' way. Not that car crashes are good, but they have that schadenfreude thing happening... I'll shut up now. You understand where I'm going though, right?

I don't know who that is, but they could cast the junkie on the corner and I'd probably be a little happier.

Christian Bale is a car crash. Got it.

And Rachel McAdams is the chick in my icon. She was in The Notebook (which sucked, but was pretty), Mean Girls, she looks exactly like Sue Storm SHOULD look, man, and oh, yes, there's one other important thing about her. Gosh, what is it?

Oh, yes. She can act.

2. Severely disappointing, isn't it? I still want to know who that girl is fucking to get jobs these days. Considering she's, you know, abysmal. Someone made a joke about this on the radio the other day. He said something along the lines of, "Well, being the invisible girl, doesn't that mean she has to be invisible during some part of the movie? That takes away all her talent." Heh.

And Julian McMahon was confirmed as Dr. Doom by Variety (among others) earlier this week.
