For your continuing edification

1. So. According to Greg Grunberg, it seems that next season Weiss is going to get involved with Nadia, which Greg apparently is nervous about as ‘it opens the door for Weiss’s demise’ or something. I’m sorry I may have paraphrased a bit off as I was seeing red and it messed with my reading the blurb. But he made it sound like Weiss was going to be offed or put in traction or something liable to cause [livejournal.com profile] celli a heart attack.

I’ll give everyone a moment to digest that and reach for the Maalox, before I go on.

In addition, it seems that since they’ve made Sark a recurring role again [insert lamenting here], David Anders has started taking his wares elsewhere, namely CSI. He’ll start appearing in episode four of CSI as an ex-sports star/toxicologist, and it didn’t say it was a one off, which has me sweating bricks because if they off Sark, I may kill someone.

2. It started with this article in the Scotsman, which pointed out that there were 250,000 condoms provided for the athletes at the 2000 Winter Bacchanalia Olympics. It then degenerated into this exchange between myself and [livejournal.com profile] serialkarma.

SK: it's "socially vigorous" *dies*

HT: dude, 250,000 condoms in salt lake city. what does one *do* with a quarter of a million condoms? seriously? if you got laid every day for 70 years, you'd use only 25,550 of'em. if you got laid three times a day, you'd still only use about 75,000. and you'd not have time for anything, else, like ever. *goggles again*

SK: you did the math? *cracks up*

HT: i am at work. i have calculators. i am an inveterate slacker. i work hard not to do any work at all. ;)

HT: my mind just can't wrap around this... so i cracked open the calculator again, and if you had sex with three different people a day during the olympics, not only would you not [have] any time to compete, but if you alot 3 condoms per act of sex, for each 3 people, you'd still only use 126 condoms. even if you came early, you'd barely use 150! I'm so fascinated by this, seriously. There were 7,000 athletes at the olympics, that's 35 condoms per athlete! that's for two weeks! *gapes openly*

SK: don't forget, they make great water balloons

HT: AH. That's where they go.

WORD. And by "someone" I mean "JJ ABrams."

Re - the Alias and CSI spoilers:

*screams in mortal terror*

... I mean, the best case scenario is that we get more DA via CSI... but I don't know how I'll handle that without teh sex accent. *Is shallow. And afraid.* I think it might break my brain to see him as someone other than Sark. Mew?

Re - the condoms:

2.5 condoms per day, per athlete. God DAMN, but I wish there was a back door into the Village. Even if they're mostly being used for water balloons. These are the people who look good wet. Very good. *drools*

I like when people i know use their math skills for good. Duuuude, that's a lot of condoms and a lot of competition. I wonder who got the gold for using up their allotment the fastest? The lugers? ;)

that's 35 condoms per athlete! that's for two weeks!

Don't forget, if you assume that some of the athletes are having sex with other athletes instead of, say, coaches, groupies, judges, whatever, they're only using one person's allotment of condoms each time they get it on. Takes twice as long, unless there's toys or something involved which would speed up the rate of condom usage.

‘it opens the door for Weiss’s demise’

SO. NOT. COOL. If they kill of Weiss I'm not watching anymore! AND, JJ Abrams is going on my list. *glares at JJ* Thanks for the spoiler =D

[identity profile] serialkarma.livejournal.com 2004-09-02 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
wait. does this mean i'm going to have to start watching CSI? I don't know if I can deal with that.

The Nadia/Weiss thing is news to me, but the dead!Sark is a no go. Abrams made DA block off October for a return and I'm still betting that sexass psycho plays a big role in the whole Rambaldi gig.

My new favoritest rumor is that BC's return might coincide. Ensuing many happy destructive Will/Sark thoughts.

Oh, I loved that article! My two favorite bits were the "It's not an orgy but it is socially vigorous" and how the Cubans used up their allotment first. I'm so glad someone keeps track of this sort of thing!

Water balloons. Bwah!!!! Thanks for the math and for clearing that up, Z.
