1. I'm not big on animated icons, but the ones in this post are hysterical. I'm quite taken with Crabbe & Goyle: Mary-Sue Hunters.

2. Where are all the people talking about The Wire? WTF! People, Stuart from QAF UK is on, hello! Okay, sadly he's had to leave the hawt Irish accent at home, but this show is eye-candy-o-rama. Dominic West. Elba Idris. Recognize! Watch it, dammit!

3. I thought casting Adrien Brody as young Severus would inspire me to write him, but, yeah, no.

4. OMG, the creator of My So-Called Life is making a show for twenty-somethings for ABC called 1/4life. I like Quarter-life Crisis myself, but who cares when there’s the possibility of another MS-CL!

5. Have I ever told y’all how scorchingly hot I think Monica Bellucci is? Because, yeah, whoo. I wouldn’t say no to an icon or two with her in it. Or with Callum as Seamus or Elba Idris as Dean. Even though he's too hot for that, he's still... just you know, to look at! What?

6. You know who I miss almost as much as ethrosdemon? silviakundera.

7. Has it taken Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind for-fucking-ever to come out on DVD or is that just me?

8. Everyone remembers the scene where Harry was crying in the woods as Ron and Hermione stood by and watched, right? Well, maybe my idea is based on JKR talking about foreshadowing in the movie for books 6 & 7 or on the music or the lighting or all that crack I smoke, but did they make it seem as though Hermione was choosing Harry over Ron when she went to comfort him or was that just me? I got this really weird sense that Ron was like watching from the back, like he wasn't going to be with them forever and was going to choose another path. The Dark Side, baby! We have great medical benefits!

Dude, they do cracked out stuff in the movies that should not be taken as foreshadowing. IE: Percy not being in GOF. If that is true, that's just weird. His part is huge in GOF.

And also, I hear the Dark Side has a good retirement plan also. They kill you when your usefulness is up. Saves having to make pension contributions.

I sort of tend to believe, as I read the books, that Hermione chooses Harry over Ron in both big and small ways each and every day. And I say that not as an H/H shipper but as someone reading the books looking for clues. Whenever I read the books looking for clues about where the H/H/R dynamic is going to head I *always* wind up with the feeling that Ron is growing apart from the two of them while Harry and Hermione are growing closer. It's always struck me as kind of odd the way that everyone always glibly discusses how Hermione and Ron are growing closer in Book 5 and Harry is being left out of their dynamic--because I've always seen it as being completely the opposite, that Hermione and Harry are moving forward together and Ron is going in a completely different direction.

Also, the first time I read book 4 years ago, I came away firmly believing that Ron was going to betray Harry over Hermione, for whatever that's worth. It's not a theory I cling to or anything, but if it happens, haha, I'll be the first to shriek "I knew it all along!" :)
