I heart Theodore Nott & Neville Longbottom.

1. You can't keep blaming yourself. Just blame yourself once, and move on. (Homer Simpson)

2. So, people, where's the Lost slash? C'mon. Boone practically killed himself getting Jack all those pens, and Sayid and Sawyer? Animosity breeds slash like fucking rabbits. I know this. Don't make me walk up hill in both directions and write it myself.

3. I was going to do that first-line drabble bit, but lets face it kids, I've got too many. The post alone would be effing enormous.

4. Telegraph Avenue is one year old this month. I'm so proud! AHHHHHHHHH! Actually, I only know this because I'm still sitting on the story of Jamie & Ian and I pulled out the .doc again. Would anybody read that besides me and [livejournal.com profile] serialkarma? Do we care? Of course not! *makes notes*

5. Speaking of [livejournal.com profile] serialkarma, she has A Very Important Poll Regarding The Princess Bride that everyone should take immediately. Yis.

6. Tell me this is not Orlando Bloom/Wombat/Wasserface. Tell me... and I still won't believe you.

ETN: #7 : Since ABC is *still* kicking themselves for letting go of the Holy Puberty Grail My So-Called Life, will anybody be watching Life As We Know It? What really impresses me here is that they're so desperate they've even got the same title font for this show. Talk about too little, too late.

So, people, where's the Lost slash?

[livejournal.com profile] lost_slash has about 4 stories by the same person. But it's something :)

[identity profile] circe-tigana.livejournal.com 2004-10-07 12:10 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL! Clearly Lost slash should feature in tomorrow's WOTD drabble.

Because Sayid is so PRETTEH!

[identity profile] lizzyjit.livejournal.com 2004-10-07 12:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude, I would *totally* read more Telegraph Avenue. Not that it matters, but just saying. I think that's the story that brought me into fanfiction.

[identity profile] smonsterbite.livejournal.com 2004-10-07 12:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Would anybody read that besides me and serialkarma?

Yes.

Mmm, Lost slash.

You KNOW I will read this, beta, etc. Dude, has it really been a whole year? I feel like we should have champagne, or something. *is nostalgic*

It's weird because I just read your post on Sayid and Sawyer slash and then I stumble upon this:

http://www.livejournal.com/community/ficinabottle/7428.html

a slash story of that pairing.

[identity profile] r1cepudding.livejournal.com 2004-10-07 12:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Sayid and Sawyer and The Apple of True Love. *bliss* Theirloveissomanly!

Also, Boone/Charlie, even though there is none. Just because of the pretty.

I will read anything TA related, despite my lack of OC knowledge, simply because TA is fabulous.

Would anybody read that besides me and serialkarma?

*raises hand*

So, people, where's the Lost slash?

[livejournal.com profile] nekosmuse established A World Away this summer. There is a Sayid/Sawyer there, but I haven't read it yet. In an unrelated note, I am amused the TWOP recapper asked for no Sayid/Hurley slash, because he's "uncomfortable with the amount of scraggly man-hair through which fingers would run." Hee.

Tell me this is not Orlando Bloom/Wombat/Wasserface. Tell me... and I still won't believe you.

Okay, I know who Orlando is, and I'm thinking Wasserface is Kate Bosworth, but "Wombat" I know not. Help?

I've got the TiVo set to record Life as We Whatever. I was amused, reading the fall preview EW, to see how many shows were described in terms of MSCL. Plus! The ten-year retrospective on the show.

Lost slash. Mmmmmm.

Sawyer/Sayid 4evah! Theirloveissohotandangry! Pretty pretty new show... *happy sigh*

[identity profile] neon2300.livejournal.com 2004-10-07 01:09 pm (UTC)(link)
*cough* Telegraph Avenue? I might very well pay for more relating to that story.

#6 - Not the Wombat though. *Viggo* was the one who was on location in Toronto during the film festival. But yeah, otherwise I think you nailed it.

[identity profile] camillafarfalla.livejournal.com 2004-10-07 02:44 pm (UTC)(link)
2. Seriously - Said and Sawyer. Bring it, man. It's Harry and Draco stuck on an island. (oh, would that I were any good at writing the fic...)

4. I've been thinking it's about time for me to go reread Telegraph Avenue. That story brought me so much joy while I was at a particularly hellish temp job last year; I'm still grateful to you for that (for that and for all your other fic, but in that time period, man, I swear excitment over that got me through the day some days.). And yes indeed, I'd be psyched to read the Jamie/Ian omg.

5. Is "The Princess Bride" the best movie ever made? I wonder that sometimes. Have fun storming the castle!

7. And I'm still bitter enough at ABC about MSCL (though at Claire Danes too, to be vaguely fair) that I'm still kind of irritated that Lost is theirs. I'm unconvinced by Life As We Know It, if for no other reason than that it's all about boys and just one of the brillant aspects of MSCL was that for once it was all about girls (and sensitive, confused, girly, and/or hot boys). ::wistful sigh:: Jordan Catalano. meep.

[identity profile] lukataintedlove.livejournal.com 2004-10-07 03:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I would definitely read more Telegraph Avenue.

[identity profile] mydorkside.livejournal.com 2004-10-07 06:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I visited San Francisco this summer and spent a day walking around UCBerkeley. I didn't dare explain to my friend why I was that excited about going on Telegraph Avenue!

[identity profile] layoftheland.livejournal.com 2004-10-07 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh HELL yes, bring on the "Telegraph Avenue". Here's why. I hate most OC fanfic. Stay far far away. This series is pure joy. I shouldn't mention that I have this one apartment building picked out as Jaime's building, right? And dude, it would mean I'd get to check out Ryan Adams on the fucking sidebar. I'm IN.

Happy bday/anniversary to Telegraph Ave! I would love to read the story of Jamie and Ian, personally. :)

I'm still sitting on the story of Jamie & Ian and I pulled out the .doc again. Would anybody read that besides me and [info]serialkarma?

I would read it. I would read it many, many times.
