Reposting for the zillionth time.

*If you are my yuletide person, please know that graphic smut is not necessary, but not necessarily frowned upon either. Please also know that I love all kinds of stories and fandoms and character pieces, and I'm sure if you like it I will too. I prefer slash, but I'm perfectly happy with gen or friendship fic, yes, friends are great!... but most het makes me break out in a rash (unless you are writing the Stephanie Plum option in which case, yes, OMG Stephanie/Ranger! or Stephanie/Joe! Or maybe Lula/Tank!)

**OMG, How can your pharmacist refuse to give you The Pill?! WTF sort of shit is that?!

I suddenly feel the need to have a Very Stern Talk with my pharmacist about what will happen to him if I don't get my birth control prescription filled. And why do these examples always have to come from Texas? Either the news forgets that people other than Bush and his minions live here, or my home state is a really fucking scary place. Maybe both. *shudders*

When I read that I thought it was a joke until they went on about how the pharmacist felt it was against his religion and all I can think is, that's your bleedin' job! Nobody died and made you God!

Customers need to absolutely *torture* with complaints stores that hire and keep on their payrolls pharmacists who pull bullshit like that. That's just ridiculous.

I was appalled. As a pharmacist, it's your job to fill scripts, what are you going to do next? Deny someone Retin-A because they think they don't have any spots?!

WTF sort of shit is that?!

the really fucking scary kind of shit.

I couldn't open the link you sent me earlier, but YES. This is good.

It's there? Finally? My god. Yay! Also, you like this title, yis? Not something else? ::frets:: Oh, time to go home, yay!

I read about the pharmacists at work and nearly Hulkified on the spot. It's so fucking ridiculous--just like the assholes who think that Plan B is an abortion pill. This country is going to hell in a handbasket but at least some of us are smart enough to realize it.

Ooh, now I kinda hope your yuletide person does do the Stephanie Plum option, because I would not disapprove of some Ranger smut. Those books are evil teases when it comes to that and I do not approve. When you make a character that hot, it's just cruel to not be as NC-17 as possible.

And, I add my voice to the group going WTF?! at the lame pharmacist rule. I guess that's now high on the list in picking somewhere to live after graduation. I won't just have to go looking of apartments, I'll have to hold interviews with local pharmacists. *sigh* work, work and more work.

as a religious person, it makes me mad when someone tries to use their "religious beliefs" as an excuse to be a prick. it makes the rest of us rational church goers look bad. did it ever cross the minds of the pharmacists that not everyone who takes birth control pills do so in order to prevent pregnency? I thought that was pretty common knowledge, and certainly something a pharmacist should know. I take medication for ulcers that can cause miscarriage. will they stop giving out those kinds of medications too? sheesh. this makes me so mad... sorry for the rant. I know I'm preaching to the converted here
cause I like to end with happy things: thank you for posting the link to the kipling poem. I absolutly loved it :-)

My thoughts on pharmacists who do that? They should find another career. Immediately. That sort of self-righteous crap just makes me furious.

Oh, Rudyard Kipling. A very nice choice for your series, which I have recently read and fell in love with.

The problems with the pharmacists really started to hit the news a couple of years back, but more and more of them are refusing to hand out prescriptions every year. Last I hear, a few hundred thousand pharamacists and doctors have refused to hand out the pill, even to those that use it for problems other than a ward against pregnancy. Personally? I don't think it's any of their business what the people are prescribed.

Also, I just recently friended you, so I thought I'd say hello. :)
