Whoa.

Almost every other post on my flist is about Jake Gyllenhaal in some manner, there are reports of a Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams engagement, and [livejournal.com profile] ethrosdemon has discovered the wonder that is Battlestar Galactica.

I have no idea what planet I'm on right now, but, uh, yeah, I'm going to stick around a bit and wait for Jamie Bamber/Mos Def/Djimon Hounsou/the guy who plays Tyrol to show up at my house with a million dollars.

Okay, I had not heard the Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling gossip until you posted, but if that's true? HOTTEST THING EVER.

So entirely out of the loop. I am loopless.

Who is Ryan Gosling? *cringes*

Ryan Gosling is a very pretty man who played in The Believer, Murder by Numbers, and a few other things

Thanks!

I'm glad [livejournal.com profile] veradeath answered, because my response would've been about two days long. Like, she said though, Ryan's a very versatile and talented actor who's been in about a dozen films. He tends to go for quality over quantity, which is why his ouvre isn't that big, but I *highly* recommend The Believer and The Slaughter Rule*. The Notebook, which he did with Rachel McAdams, is a fan favourite though, and I think it has a lot to do with him making furniture...among other things.

*Many moons ago, when I was in The O.C. fandom, I cast him as Seth's love interest in a story.

Ah, okay -- thanks for those particular recommendations (and now I have a better appreciation for the RG/RM gossip). :)

Mmmmm.....Djimon Hounsou, but Tyrol?

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2005-10-31 03:37 am (UTC)(link)
OMG, I love Tyrol! He is so capable and smart, and when he comes on screen I clap. Seriously. I can understand why people prefer Lee -- he's totally dead hot -- and Helo -- dead hot as well. Even Billy has that adorable thing, but Galen Tyrol has brains and snark, and he builds things!

I know you mentioned the Christmas scene from Jarhead, but I wasn't sure you were aware there's a picture of it in the new Entertainment Weekly (as well as an article, but I'm in it for the pictures)

Every channel has Jarhead trailers, I've been turned into this pile of mush.

Just imagine how bad off you'll be once you actually *see* it.

*imagines a big pile o' [livejournal.com profile] hackthismush.*

I love you. And Galen. And Djimon. And satan.

I think that's the only time in my life that I've been in the same breath as Galen, Djimon and Satan. I might be honoured. If you'd thrown Blaise and Sark in, it would be a party.
