The center of the non-universe.

1. My girl, [livejournal.com profile] ethrosdemon, wants people to talk about BSG/Cylon/religion type shit with her. Please go and converse, because every time she starts dissecting television, my eyes roll back in my head and I start to drool. One day I will get her to enjoy a show without deconstructing it, but today ain't that day.

2. [livejournal.com profile] scribblinlenore wrote Supernatural fic Factum Amoris. NC-17. Supernaturalcest. I don't read or participate in the fandom, but I know a lot of you do, and since it's Lenore, I don't think you could go wrong at all.

3. Rome. Oh, how you manage to be so gloriously fucked up and so boring at the same time is beyond comprehension. Ray Stevenson + shiny objects = lust.

4. Grey's Anatomy is truly the best show on network television, bar none. What do you mean I'm biased just because I <3 George? What's your point, again? Yay, George!!

5. [I don't remember, but will put here when I do] Today is the last day to turn in your [livejournal.com profile] yuletide stories and qualify for this holiday season. If you've been on the fence, get to cracking. I know you want to be the one to write me that Rome/Kitchen Confidential/Ocean's 11/Jarhead story that I'm going to ask for.

Story recommendation: Intra by [livejournal.com profile] svilleficrecs. Lee/Kara. NC-17. I am very very particular about my BSG fiction, since I don't tend to see the need for a lot of it.* I think the series is incredibly complete on its own merits, hell, it's got me shipping het everywhere. I digress. Lee/Kara is the OTP of the fandom, or so it appears and yet, IMO, it's hard to find it done in the right way – read: seriously jacked up – and this story manages to do that, all the while staying perfectly in tune with the characters and the show. So, yeah. Read it.

*I know my writing is pretty superfluous, but until they give me what I want (see the icon), I'll be keeping on with the superfluousness.

Thank you for the rec. :) Jacked up, hee. That describes them pretty well.

I've read a handful of BSG stories since I discovered the series, not because I doubt their quality, but because I don't necessarily think the show calls for it. So, when I do tend to succumb, I'm extraordinarily picky, and when I read your story I realised why. I think so highly of the show that I worry the fic won't live up, but Intra was just mind-blowing. I recced it to [livejournal.com profile] ethrosdemon and [livejournal.com profile] serialkarma, added it to my memories, and then just had to talk about it more. It's truly a fantastic story, congratulations.
