Happy New Year, chickens!! I hope this finds everyone reasonably well and no longer hungover. I send a large container of wonton soup to everyone with the sniffles or those who are just, you know, staying home for mental health *coughSGAmarathoncough* reasons.

Just to deal with old business:

a) I wrote 7 Days to Change Your Life for [livejournal.com profile] yuletide, which is Grey's Anatomy, George/Izzie. I know. Only [livejournal.com profile] yuletide could make me break out the het. Well, yuletide and BSG, which OMG is back on Friday!!!

Excited? Who? Me? Hells, yeah, bitches. If nothing else, perhaps it will inspire someone to write something so I can stop snorting up the SGA recs over at [livejournal.com profile] polyfandomrecs. I love those girls, but I cannae keep up -- which, you know, not necessarily a bad thing.

2) I am not doing a yearly story round-up, because, well, I write too much for that. If you're interested, here are my memories and you can go through and have yourself a party.

If you want me to rec you something I wrote, leave me a comment with what you're after.

If you want me to rec something someone *else* wrote last year I have to say I was tremendously partial to [livejournal.com profile] scrunchy's Chasing Sheppard (SGA); [livejournal.com profile] svilleficrecs Intra (BSG); [livejournal.com profile] dsudis's Hawks and Hands (due South); and [livejournal.com profile] giddygeek's Good For You which is Entourage. and obviously anything written by [livejournal.com profile] ethrosdemon, [livejournal.com profile] serialkarma, [livejournal.com profile] oxoniensis and [livejournal.com profile] circe_tigana, but that's just blantant favouritism.

c) I am in need of MUSAK for my mp3 player. I am looking for:

The Doors 'Peace Frog'
Chaka Khan 'Ain't Nobody'
Method Man 'Bring the Pain'
Danger Mouse & Gemini 'Ghetto Pop Life'
Gang Starr 'Work'
Mobb Deep 'Shook Ones'
T.I. 'Bring'em Out'
ALL HAIL [livejournal.com profile] literaryll!!
and anything by Hall & Oates... or anything that's been on Entourage
Or anything else you lot want to rec. I have varied tastes, what can I say?

ETA: And some Junior Senior! Or Go Team!

Hee, and now you'll have a whole load more, all totally cracked! And at least one with 'genuine emotions'.

We get our summary/assignment tonight/tomorrow - so many I want to write!!!

You could join in: you don't need to know the fandom. Actually, if you don't know the fandom it'll be even better. *eg*

If you read a few pages of [livejournal.com profile] mctabby's Summary Executions (http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=mctabby&keyword=Summary+Executions&filter=all), you kind of get into the flow of it. Seriously scary though.

I think this is one flow that can pass me by. ;)

There's something very freeing about ignoring grammar, spelling, punctuation, canon, common sense...

Not advised in large doses though!

Uh huh. Even with my total misuse of the comma, I feel that there are some rules that are needed. Somewhere in the world. Maybe not so close to me per se, but somewhere, surely ;)
