1) Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] amberlynne, [livejournal.com profile] bedofbones, [livejournal.com profile] carson_leigh, [livejournal.com profile] lazlet,b [livejournal.com profile] romanticalgirl, [livejournal.com profile] syrensure, and the very giving [livejournal.com profile] literaryll for going wayyyy above and beyond in helping in my time of music bereftness (so not a word). You are all adored madly.

b) I wrote Theodore/Neville pron last night for [livejournal.com profile] circe_tigana, and I'd planned to write KC pron for [livejournal.com profile] serialkarma but now I'm so pissed off that I cannae even see straight. She gets a rain check.

c) [livejournal.com profile] oxoniensis though, gets a big plate of biscuits for introducing me to Sunday afternoon in the garden with tea music -- more commonly referred to as Nick Drake. I knew the name, but not the sound, now it's all cool.

4) [livejournal.com profile] sprat has a poll here about your fic-reading habits. Take it, and then link me to some pron to read. I need inspiration.

5) Does anybody else remember the show Kidd Video from Saturday morning cartoons in the 80s? That was a damn good show. Okay, actually the lead was hot and that was enough. Plus, singing!

when he's with Blaise, the future doesn't matter.

that's called crazy in love, and what he has with Neville is easy and safe and settling!

The real problem is, that Theodore know that Blaise loves him back, that if Blaise could just give over himself for FIVE SECONDS, they could be together and not have to talk it out or really come to terms, because they will be who they are regardless of being together or not. But Theodore needs that one-time-only admission from Blaise, and he just doesn't think he'll get it, and that makes the longing and the need turn to rage. He's so filled with self-loathing that Neville can't be enough, that Blaise ever had to exist at all, and at Blaise for being so demented and stubborn he can't just budge that tiny tiny bit Theodore needs.

However, if Blaise was the sort of person that would budge even a fraction, then Theodore wouldn't be so hopelessly in love with him, either. *restart love/hate cycle*

They are, perhaps, BETTER than Draco and Blaise.

But Theodore *can't be* settled. There's nothing settled about this post-war time, where he's still remembering curse light. He's still remembering how easy it is to kill; why then is living is so difficult?

Neville said to him: "Go, then."

And maybe it could have been different if Neville had known he'd come back. But it isn't, is it, because there is resignation rather than hope, and Neville's own kind of hate which Theodore fears will take gentle root and be nurtured, even though Neville isn't that kind of boy.

But none of them are that boy anymore, are they, and maybe *that* is the real problem, maybe a living Slytherin *lost* is more tragic than a whole generation dead on Hampstead Heath.

Theodore wants Blaise. He does not say goodbye.
