knuckle cracker...

Ali's birthday was yesterday; and seeing as I have no cash, I could only offer her some random drabble. So, when she said she wanted something different. Well....

For Ali on the occassion of her **th Birthday, I present her with one QAF/SV drabble.

‘Comic Conundrum’

Michael has never said he knows everything about *everything*, his ego's not that big. That's the sort of bragging that he reserves for Brian - at least with Brian it's pretty close to the truth.

Still, Mikey has some things that he's really good at. Like this. He's not great at the shop stuff, but he's good with the product. He can sell what he sells. Mikey prides himself on knowing everything about everything when it comes to comic books.

Mikey remembers when Dark Horse premiered it’s first ‘Best Of’ and knows *exactly* what Mary Jane said to Spiderman in issue 281 of the Amazing Spider-man. And maybe it’s just the way he’s wired, but Mikey is never going to forget the look that Magneto gave Xavier in Classic issue #88 of X-Men .

Straight nothing.

That was the gayest look on paper since Captain Astro said he would help Amtel Kensington *decipher* those hidden newspaper codes.

Michael bets there was some serious deciphering going on all right. Just the way he helped Ben ‘decipher’ some of his students chicken scratch the other day when Ben was supposed to be looked at midterms.

But that’s not the point.

The point is, if there’s a new comic book hero, Michael should know about it. If he doesn’t have it in stock, he should at least have it on back order. At least have some idea about the characters history, background. At least know who drew damn thing.

Mikey may not be able to sell a homeless man a hot meal, or sell certain people on his boyfriend, but he can sell comics. It’s his business to know who’s what’s where. So, why is he completely at a loss here?

Why the hell has he never heard of Warrior Angel?

Better yet, who the hell *is* Warrior Angel, and why is this guy on-line so desperate for a first edition?

Heh...you captured Michael's sarcasm so well. And a hearty "heh heh" at the online request he received for Warrior Angel! Mmm...comics, Michael and a SV reference...wowzers! I'm feeling very spoiled with my very own story.

*mwah* and hugs and your bi Brianbot is waiting for you down in the lobby.

Warrior Angel is the offspring of Lex and Clark. I can't believe no one said anything about how Warrior Angel was all buff and brawny...and BALD!

I'm glad you liked it, sweetie.
