I am having a really shitty time of it right now, because whomever said wild women don't get the blues was a liar, and I would love to see lots of things that make you guys happy: happy stories, happy songs, happy pictures, fuck it, it could just be a smiley face. Mostly I just need happy things. Please?

I don't know about you, but what makes me happy:

*coming home after a few hours outside and making a giant cup of tea, spreading my wet things out on the radiator, and settling down.
*when you complain about your mother, and a friend says, it's okay, I understand.
*cute guys who have yellow labs.
*when people in couples love each other that they touch each other, for no reason, like on the arm, or riffle their hair.
*that rush of joy when someone writes really good fic.
*even if you get halfway in and find that it's really not that good.
*and you keep reading anyway.
*penguins.
*especially those gay penguins in the san diego zoo.
*HEROES.
