"In the quiet words of the Virgin Mary, come again?"

This is what I thought about last night's Heroes 'Five Years Past', or whatever it was called.

Nathan was dead?

THEY KILLED NATHAN?!!!

Well, I knew something was wrong, b/c that sure as hell wasn't Nathan because he would never have let Peter go away – no matter what they fought about – and bad Peter for not realizing something was dead wrong when Nathan wasn't harassing him every five seconds -- but, uh, THEY KILLED NATHAN.

If they kill Nathan -- I will stop watching. That's not a threat, that's just the truth. Even though Adrian Pasdar was rocking those suits last night and it was never a better time to be a White House Intern (PREACH!).

It was nice to see Jim Profit in the White House, yo, seriously. Did I mention the suits?

Also? Okay, Peter with a scar and dressing all hotass? Whoooooooooooo boy.

No, really, whoooo boy. And I mean that in all the best possible, "here let me channel a little Neo from The Matrix and some Italian mob movie here in my tacky STRIP CLUB!" way. I would talk to K about this, but her head won't stop spinning around her neck and she might get pea soup on me.

As for Mohinder well, it's like I told [livejournal.com profile] antheia:

Dude, Mohinder has Petrelli-fever. He's totally their Marilyn Monroe. Maybe marginally smarter, but not by much.

Seriously though, Peter was SMOKING last night, I was like, Uhhhhhhh, there is NO WAY Nathan would have let that out the house.

Sylar as Mystique running the White House was marginally interesting -- it would have been way more interesting if it actually WAS Mystique though, for reals.

Also, you know my favorite part was when Sylar killed Claire. For reals.

I clapped.

A lot.

And for a long time.

Some other stuff happened, the show actually stopped being all "pro-America and aren't we the best, brightest and the saviours of all" and made a real indictment of the post 9/11-era. That was fucking impressive and all. Terrorists, huh?

Yeah, I'll stop watching if the kill Nathan. I just will.

Dude, Mohinder has Petrelli-fever. He's totally their Marilyn Monroe. Maybe marginally smarter, but not by much.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Marilyn Monroe was definitely smarter. But Mohinder may be prettier.

I really need a hot-ass scarred Peter icon, but this will have to do.

[identity profile] antheia.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
This is the part, I think, where I say "I told you so". *g*

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 03:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I think, at this point, it wouldn't be hard to be smarter than Mohinder -- but it IS interesting that Sylar's so obsessed that he'll carry out his Nathan ruise just to have Mohinder close to him. Do you think Mohinder knows? No, of course not. He's not that smart.

Also, those pictures were totally of Monty and Simon, yes.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 03:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude, that was just, 'Whooooo boy.'

[identity profile] linaerys.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Sylar really is obsessed with Mohinder. There's nothing he won't do to try to turn Mohinder to the psychopath side of the force, and have Mohinder by his side. If I liked either one of them better, I would totally write slash, but as it is . . . eh? I want my Nathan and Peter back.

I kinda hope that if Monty and Simon have powers we don't find out about it for a while. But then again, I'm anti-kids-on-TV unless it's Micah.

[identity profile] fajrdrako.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't worry. They won't kill Nathan. It's an alternate future that will be reversed by whatever happens in the present - Hiro killing Sylar, or trying to, or whatever.

More important, remember the first rule of comic book material: No one who dies stays dead.

Just remember that, and you'll be okay.

[identity profile] antheia.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
It was a heretofore unmatched level of hot. The world will never be the same.

And by the world, I mean my pants.

[identity profile] chicklet-girl.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
My new crack-addled theory is that (somehow) Peter and Sylar are brothers (or half-brothers), because they both have the ability to absorb other Heroes' powers, but have to use different methods to do it. Also, since they have the Battle Royale, obvs they're two sides of the same coin, i.e. related.

But I don't care how (disturbingly) hot Sylar is, if present!Hiro fails to kill him, he kills Nathan. And that is Not On, Kring. Not. On.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going back to flailing about future!Hiro and his mastery of the katana because duuuuuuuude. He's so bad-ass he doesn't even bother to teleport to the battle -- he takes out the lobby-guards first.

At the first shot of Peter, I whistled low and grinned madly. Finally, finally, I have justification for being in love with that guy since Opposite of Sex. And how.

Though I did see a bits of younger, bloated Adrian in some Victoria Principal Lifetime movie this weekend and nearly plotzed. Thankfully those suits came to the rescue.

[identity profile] teenygozer.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
They are gonna WIPE THAT DEPRESSING FUTURE WE SAW right off the face of the temporal topography, you'll see. Because Ando cannot die, Nathan cannot die, and wee Micah cannot die. I also like Claire a lot, though her dimpled fiance was a bit too perfect and my thoughts upon seeing him were, "this guy's toast." I wonder if he'll make it to the next reality.

[identity profile] blondiusmaximus.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I still cannot get over the idea that for the past five years Nathan has been dead and Peter didn't know. And that, like. Peter's Nathan has been dead for five years. I am only assuming that Peter left New York and Nathan after realizing the decision he made about letting him (BOMB) explode.

But yeah, seriously, where are the power-crazed Nathan in the White House fics, where he is unwilling to let slightly unhinged (SMOKIN HOT) Peter out of his sight? Oval Office power play sex. I AM WAITING FOR IT, FANDOM.

I seriously cannot wait for all of the fic that has to come out of this. The creators gave us an entire new world to play in, and there are just too many awesome possibilities not to explore.

[identity profile] storydivagirl.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
The fact that Nathan and Peter weren't together was my main worry about what was going on with nathan. Sure, i don't think Nathan would undertake genocide either, but it was the fact that he and Peter were apart, especially right after last week's episode when he said he didn't know what he would do without Peter.

[identity profile] ladyjestyr.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 04:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree. I am about 99% certain it'll never happen. I hope.

When "Nathan" was like, "I know how things work" to Mohinder (I think; must rewatch) I said to myself, That's what Sylar would say. And then when he was Sylar I screamed and had to pause the thing until I stopped hyperventilating.

They cannot kill Nathan.

God, I love this show!

[identity profile] darksylvia.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 04:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Also? Okay, Peter with a scar and dressing all hotass? Whoooooooooooo boy.

AND HOW!

Seriously though, Peter was SMOKING last night, I was like, Uhhhhhhh, there is NO WAY Nathan would have let that out the house.

EVERYTHING THAT TOUCHED HIM SIZZLED.

[identity profile] ladyjestyr.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
They killed Nathan: bad. Very bad.
They turned Peter into a scary dangerous hotass: ohmygod, times a billion.

I don't fear for Nathan too much, because .. well, wait. They killed Isaac, didn't they...

ARGH.

[identity profile] ladydey.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Everything about last night was pitch perfect - I just there are no words (I think I was woooting so loudly that it was a wonder no one called the cops - heeeee).

Okay, Peter with a scar and dressing all hotass? Whoooooooooooo boy.

    - So seriously hotass, as to defy any other description.

No, really, whoooo boy. And I mean that in all the best possible, "here let me channel a little Neo from The Matrix and some Italian mob movie here in my tacky STRIP CLUB!" way.

    - With the whole degenerate air, and general pissiness (and the stripper girlfriend with a heart of gold), all while being the most powerful Hero, so made of awesome!

    - I think he was mostly upset because Nathan's crappy plan (before the death that DIDN'T HAPPEN) was to get Peter out of town after the explosion until the heat died down and Nathan had the chance to finesse things. Peter didn't want to go, especially because he didn't want to leave Nathan alone and at the mercy of people who didn't love him like Peter does. This is the only way the Nathan let the hotass leave - he didn't realize what he was letting go.

I just love this show sooooooo much!

I think a lot of us will. Stop watching if they kill Nathan.

[identity profile] svilleficrecs.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)
It was SO GOOD.

[identity profile] sparky77.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 05:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Seriously, as much as I loved it, I can't be totally happy because of the whole Nathan being dead thing. That's just not cool.

I really, really want to hear about the fight that made Peter believe that Nathan would just let him Pleave like that. I do like that Peter ends up with a woman that he probably knows Nathan had sex with. Future Peter is so fuck up (and hot, god, so fucking hot!)

And I loved how the only thing that really registered to Peter at the end was that Sylar had killed his brother.

But still, Nathan! I miss him! I need some Petrelli brother scenes where they are like sitting on each other's lap to make up for this.

[identity profile] fajrdrako.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 05:18 pm (UTC)(link)
No, it won't happen. Nor should it.

[identity profile] heidi8.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Mohinder totally doesn't know, but I think Evil!Matt does know that it's Sylar - and I think that Sylar made him a deal - he could keep his brain (and his boring wife and kid's brains) if he worked for The Side of Evil.

Does anyone else want a Superpowered Fight Club where Sylar and Peter can go every week to beat the crap out of each other in a glowing show of light and magic? 'Cause it would be very pretty.

Dude. The only thing that makes me sad about Hiro & Ando going back and changing things is that Peter will no longer be all hotass Neo Corleone in the black clothes with the stubble and scar, because that shit was HOT.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 05:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Neo Corleone.

*adds to long list of reasons she loves Slod*

[identity profile] romancandles.livejournal.com 2007-05-01 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude, I felt for the Nathan lovers when the Sylar reveal came, I really did. But he's totally not going to die. Please. The whole future was already jossed by Isaac telling them how to stop the bomb. You know that no one in sci-fi is ever really dead anyway (that's what I'm going to tell myself when Sylar bites it in the finale).

But seriously, how obsessed is Sylar with Mohinder? It's like my 'ship came true, wtf?
