Heroes recs.

I forgot the finale was tonight. Yes, really. I could make some excuse about being clubbed by a sandwich or something, but yeah, no, just forgot.

In my defense I bring a couple things:

a) I had the awesome fortune to stumble across this lovely Nathan/Meredith story from selenak called Folly, which is truly how I believe everything in Texas went down and is now my personal canon. I had wanted to write Nathan/Meredith, but it was on my list, and as you all know, my list is a wee bit long. This is so much better than anything I could have come up with. Read it.

b) goss is on the Heroes train! This means lots of spectacular art for us unworthy mortals! Awesomecakes! Here's her first foray into Heroes-land, this pastel drawing of Sylar, which is vaguely spoilery for 1.22 'Landslide' but dude, so awesome. Yay goss!

c) Any good leader knows you have to pick your battles. You have to know when to hold'em, when to fold'em, when to walk away, and when to enlist your flist to harass persuade the great scribblinlenore to write Peter/Nathan pron entitled SEX BOMB. Yes. Really. Damn, I am good. Bring extra knickers.

Naturally, I only use my powers for good bad My Nefarious Purposes. And this is why you love me.

No, I have not forgotten about that Sylar fic I just seem to be blocked by the eclipse at the moment. It was probably the coat.

Dude, I was so excited to learn Turtle's name and then they punked us! GAH! I really hope Kelly sticks around, because she is by far the best female/girlfriend to be on the show -- excluding Mrs. Ari natch. You think S3 is *less* slashy? Seriously? I mean, sure, you can't move for the Ari/Vince vibes, but remember when they were all going to go on vacation together and how Vince and Eric had never not gone away together? Dude, that was gaaaaaaaay.

I've been finding S3 more slashy for some reason. Maybe it's because Ari has been stepping up the gay, and E can only counter with yet more gay! I think it's hilarious that Lloyd is the gay one, except he's been far less gay than the other boys this season.

I also hope Kelly sticks around, but I was trying to figure out how old she is, and couldn't do it. Is she 19? Early 20s? Still in high school?! (Oh, Turtle.)

I agree, I think this season is wayyyyy gayer than the prior two. It's like Doug said, "[the second half of season three] is about how men love men, and how they hate themselves for loving men, and how they worry about loving men, and how they need to stand up to men so they can love women, or stand up to women so they can love men."

Re: Kelly. Oh, I'm sure she's not in high school, I'd think early 20s, fresh out of college though, learning the family business ropes and the like.
