I forgot the finale was tonight. Yes, really. I could make some excuse about being clubbed by a sandwich or something, but yeah, no, just forgot.

In my defense I bring a couple things:

a) I had the awesome fortune to stumble across this lovely Nathan/Meredith story from selenak called Folly, which is truly how I believe everything in Texas went down and is now my personal canon. I had wanted to write Nathan/Meredith, but it was on my list, and as you all know, my list is a wee bit long. This is so much better than anything I could have come up with. Read it.

b) goss is on the Heroes train! This means lots of spectacular art for us unworthy mortals! Awesomecakes! Here's her first foray into Heroes-land, this pastel drawing of Sylar, which is vaguely spoilery for 1.22 'Landslide' but dude, so awesome. Yay goss!

c) Any good leader knows you have to pick your battles. You have to know when to hold'em, when to fold'em, when to walk away, and when to enlist your flist to harass persuade the great scribblinlenore to write Peter/Nathan pron entitled SEX BOMB. Yes. Really. Damn, I am good. Bring extra knickers.

Naturally, I only use my powers for good bad My Nefarious Purposes. And this is why you love me.

No, I have not forgotten about that Sylar fic I just seem to be blocked by the eclipse at the moment. It was probably the coat.

Kelly.is.awesome. I totally want to know Turtle's real name, too! Man, I really wonder if she'll turn out to be another one of those subplot girls on Entourage whose storyline just for of fizzes out eventually. I want something to actually come out of these two.

I have to admit I think S3 has been somewhat less in terms of slashiness as far as Vince/Eric goes (though Ari totally makes up for it with his various peculiar lines at E), but I loved the moment in this episode when Vince was talking about the teacher and then, "You jealous?" and E said something like, "Hell yeah" but then added (because yeah, totally straight, those two!), "She was hot."

Dude, I was so excited to learn Turtle's name and then they punked us! GAH! I really hope Kelly sticks around, because she is by far the best female/girlfriend to be on the show -- excluding Mrs. Ari natch. You think S3 is *less* slashy? Seriously? I mean, sure, you can't move for the Ari/Vince vibes, but remember when they were all going to go on vacation together and how Vince and Eric had never not gone away together? Dude, that was gaaaaaaaay.

I've been finding S3 more slashy for some reason. Maybe it's because Ari has been stepping up the gay, and E can only counter with yet more gay! I think it's hilarious that Lloyd is the gay one, except he's been far less gay than the other boys this season.

I also hope Kelly sticks around, but I was trying to figure out how old she is, and couldn't do it. Is she 19? Early 20s? Still in high school?! (Oh, Turtle.)

I agree, I think this season is wayyyyy gayer than the prior two. It's like Doug said, "[the second half of season three] is about how men love men, and how they hate themselves for loving men, and how they worry about loving men, and how they need to stand up to men so they can love women, or stand up to women so they can love men."

Re: Kelly. Oh, I'm sure she's not in high school, I'd think early 20s, fresh out of college though, learning the family business ropes and the like.

WHAT DID HE SAY?! OMG! WHAT DID HE SAY? He was *talking* I could've just heard his *voice*. *falls into quivvering heap* Why, Lord? Why hast thou forsaken me in my time of needing the Voice of Porn? Was this about flipping that girl off last week? I thought I'd paid for that alreadY?!!

Uh, lessee...he talked about the season finale & how he couldn't actually, y'know, TALK about the season finale, which he thought was funny, because NBC told him, hey, go out & promote this, but you can't talk about it. And that, on the front cover of every script is a saying 'We're only as strong as the secrets we keep', which is apparently a reminder for all of the cast & crew to not blab about show spoilers.

He also said he loves reading the scripts and he was super-excited to do the show, 'where do I sign up'. And he's hopeful that he'll get to have sex with his wife on the show now that she's regained the use of her legs again.

Uh...he also said that next season would be shown straight through, no breaks, and that the writers are all so amazing that it's like they're doped up. And that he goes back to work at the end of June, but he has no idea what else is going on, because of the writers' strike. And that Origins will be, um, like a cross between original programming & a reality show. Oh, and that he says he signed up to do Heroes, but it's more like being on Survivor, due to the mortality rate of the characters.

Also, he talked about being a die-hard Eagles fan & how the game on Sunday will definitely affect his mood on Monday, and that L.A. has a large contingent of other Eagles fans, which is cool.

Seriously, how sad is it that I remember all of this? I don't even WATCH the show!!!

Dude, this is quite unrelated to the subject matter - except for the brief Entourage mention - just a flying visit to say that the other day I got the first series of Entourage for cheap on DVD, largely because of your Ari (wouldn't really have stuck on my radar otherwise).

Long story short - watching it now, utterly sold, and OMG Ari, I could eat you up.
