Music, Links and Other Misc News.

I hate posting things when I don't know what I'm doing with them, that's why the Chuck story is gone, but here's something everyone can participate in.

I'm trying to broaden my horizons as it were, so tell me, What websites do you visit every day?. You can give me one, or five or twenty, but at least tell me a bit about them and why you like them and why you recommend them.

In return I will tell you that:

a) The new Gnarls Barkley album is expected out in April. I dunno the title or the exact date, but I know it's coming.

b) Adele is the love child of Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen. Not unlike Kate Nash. I can't remember who first brought her to my attention, but keep an ear out. She was brought to my attention by [livejournal.com profile] soul_cake_duck, and here are the two songs I have from her (and some other shit I've been listening to as well): The Adele + Zip

c) If you are not watching American Gladiators you are SO missing out. Clearly Wolf is Sabertooth from the X-Men on network TV, just with way more charisma.

d) PSYCH is back on Friday! Watch it!

e) The Wire is back! Bunk! McNulty! Kima! OMAR!!!!!

Woo new Gnarls!

I view almost all of these through Google Reader, because I've learned to love RSS feeds.

Photos (because we all need pretty or thought-provoking images in our lives):

http://www.monoscope.com/ (design-oriented)
http://www.shorpy.com (old-time pictures, with attendant social and economic implications. I've learned more about life in the U.S. pre-WWII from this site than I ever did in school)

If you're interested in defense issues or foreign policy, let me know - I've got a bunch of those, but they're pretty specialized.

Oh, you've brought me back to the washingtonpost.com. Oh, I miss the days of real newspapers.

I used to read the Post on the metro every morning. Now I wait until I get into work. Smears of newsprint on my fingers versus tailored content and more ignorable ads - it's hard to decide which was better.

The other news site I visit every day is Slate. And then the Economist on Friday for their weekly edition.
