1. Right before a gig on Monday night I got a text that Blaise had been cast for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to which I replied, "Oh noes! They'll totally fuck it up." And then I got sent the photo of the actor and I replied, "Oh noes, they did fuck it up! He's totally too hot for movie-Draco. This is obviously why Blaise and Theodore are so MFEO."

2. In addition to my new found love Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, I am also loving American Gladiators, because Wolf is the man, and as antheia said Titan is totally the power bottom. I'm wondering where *that* RPF is. And yet, I am fucking thrilled that they are airing TWO new episodes of Chuck starting next week. It'll be the end of the season, but still.

3. Any news outlet that says the WGA strike isn't affecting TV is a fucking liar. Just saying. The Golden Globes are dust, the Grammys are on deck to be screwed and the Oscars are lookng iffy. No affect my ARSE!

4. I understand that people are excited about the new Torchwood, I am too, but guess what, not everybody has seen it? In fact, a lot of people haven't, so you know, not using your cut-tag for spoilers is just being an asshole.

5. antheia posted this photo in her LJ of part of the new Star Trak cast, to which I was like, wait, all that hotass is in the movie? Really? Where's the RPF? That's gonna be a HUGE fandom. Where's Zach and the new Kirk? So she linked me to this photo of Zach and Chris which spawned the following commentary:

Thank god for RPF or I would have to slash Kirk/Spock and that would be wrong.

Depending of how much chemistry they have in the movie, you may be eating those words around Christmas. Just saying. :-D

Every time I start slashing them, I'll just think of William Shatner and then I'll go scrub out my brain, and everything will be okay.

Happily, I have never had problems with Spock/McCoy and with Karl Urban playing McCoy I will be happily slashing away.

God, whoever cast this movie was on the good crack.

I find it hysterical that you cannot slash the slash forefathers, but you know, I think Chris and Zach will be changing your mind the first time Spock offers to teach Kirk the Vulcan handshake. And yes, that's just as dirty as it sounds. Man, for someone who doesn't have any real ST knowledge (ST: TNG is another story) I am really kind of excited for all this hotassery.

I know. I know. But William Shatner really does make me twitchy. Even young, kind of hot William Shatner. And I really have always been way more about McCoy/Spock than Kirk/Spock. You know with McCoy and Spock it was all bicker, bicker, bitch, bitch and then when they were all alone in the sickbay it was all naughty experiments with tricorders and kinky Vulcan sex against the wall.
