OMG Telegraph Ave. I haven't thought about that in years.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Neither have I!

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
You know, it constantly amazes me how much people love that story.

L'Amour N'est Pas Tout, without question.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, back in the honeymoon period.

[identity profile] dine.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I went with Telegraph Avenue, but The Incredibly True Adventures was a v. v. close second. of course, then there's the Kitchen Confidential stuff, which I also adore.

why isn't EVERYTHING an option?

Exactly, this is WAY too hard a question - I need the "Yes, all of the above" option.

So difficult! I went with MSTCMF, but Telegraph Ave. and Thousandth Man were a very close second and third. And I agree with the previous comment, can't everything be an option? ;)

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
My fault for the oppression!

[identity profile] girl-wonder.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 07:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I've totally read most of these but really? ARI.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 08:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Ari is a fandom all his own, isn't he?

[identity profile] bedofbones.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 07:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I went with Ari because, man, it's ARI. Your Ari brings joy to my life like no other. But Thousandth man was a really close second, and The Incredible Adventures a close third.

And where are your Heroes fics? Because OMG amazing. Especially The Love Song of Gabriel "Sylar" Gray, thought it's very short.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
If I listed all the fics I'd written we'd still be here next week, so I just went for the longest ones. I figured you lot would remember the others better than me ;-)

[identity profile] copernica3.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Lloyd Saves the Day! Um, I think it had a more formal title than that, but nevertheless.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, it had a more formal name, but that one works too ;-)

[identity profile] lovestories.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Man Up because good FNL fic (or FNL fic at all) is hard to find. Also And This Too Shall (Not) Pass, Ordinary People are Not Like You and Me, and It's What All The Post-Post-Modern Villains are wearing.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks!

[identity profile] vic-ramsey.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
That was more difficult than I thought it would be because while I LOVE The Incredibly True Adventures... and Telegraph Avenue, Twentysomething is still something I read every couple of months (BLAISE IS AWESOME).

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw, thanks!

[identity profile] treelines.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 08:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Went with Thousandth Man, but Telegraph Ave. was mindblowingly happymaking when I first read it and comes in second.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Aw, thanks!

[identity profile] bbmarcello.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 08:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Telegraph Avenue OWNS me!

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I am continually shocked by the love people have for that series.

[identity profile] elzed.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I went for ARI (because I met him through your journal before I had even heard of Entourage and I loved him, and didn't even know he was fictitious, and when I finally got round to watching Entourage, OMG, he totally owned me) but Telegraph Avenue was wonderful, and Trade cracked me up, and... well, you know, dear girl, I'm het through and through and don't really go for slash, but when you write it - 'nuff said.

So yes, hope the writer's block, er, unblocks. 'Coz it's a pain.

(oh, and if you must, the Happiest Place on Earth was a ball, too.)

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Ari can turn water into wine too. Just so you know, he just saves it for really special occasions.

[identity profile] sparky77.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I object to only being able to choose one. Down with oppression! Up with anarchy! I think I need a nap!

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I did not mean to oppress the peoples! My bad!

Argh! That was hard! I went with Trade because I have such fond memories of the first year of uni, refreshing my flist on days I knew a new instalment was due and being all excited to see it pop up, but Telegraph Avenue was a very close runner up. And I still go and re-read The Thousandth Man occasionally when feeling in the mood.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 04:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Awwwwwwwwww. *smiles stupidly*

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL. I'm afraid, sweetie, that that book is closed. From time to time I do ponder a story where I finally put Theodore and Blaise together. That's pretty much the only work I have left to do in HP.

[identity profile] thecomfychair.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 09:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I think ARI pretty much encompasses it, though Telegraph Ave and the Incredibly True Adventures were also tempting me with their radio buttons. If only there were ticky boxes.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I knew you lot would go crazy with the ticky boxes so I had to force the issue. I am mean that way.

[identity profile] kristories.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Well I went with Make Sure They See My Face because I loved it in a way I haven't loved RPF in a very long time, but really I would love to see more of Wanted: One Fucking Miracle Worker but it wasn't on the list!!!

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
You can vote for whatever you want, even if it's not on the list! So, now Wanted has a vote too :-)

[identity profile] morgaine22.livejournal.com 2008-03-12 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I Could've Been an Actor, But I Wound Up Here. JUST BECAUSE. And then L'Amour N'est Pas Tout. ...I miss Nathan/Peter.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
It is my duty to tell you that those days are long behind me. Tim Kring pissed in my Cheerios one too many times.

I went with Happiest Place, but Telegraph Ave. runs a very close second.

Seeing all of your George RPF reminded me how much I've been craving George/Ellen Paige fic. He gushed about her a bit on the red carpet the other day and suddenly I was imagining them meeting at an after party and being all witty, sarcastic together.

Oh and had it been an option I would've voted for your George/Jake fic, No One Here Gets Out Alive.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 04:30 pm (UTC)(link)
You may vote for whatever you like, even if it's not listed, ergo, one vote for No One Here Gets Out Alive has been made in your name. George likes a lot of people, who knows who could be in his next film ;-)

[identity profile] daraq.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
I'll vote when you post a poll that includes the all the above option. How could I love one of these babies more than the others? They're all gorgeous!

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 04:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Awwwwwwwwwwwww. *squishes* And all my babies love you too.

[identity profile] romancandles.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
Honestly the story I remember best was more of a ficlet than anything. I'm not sure if the name was Ozymandias or if it just contained the poem as an epigraph but it was Smallville, post season two or three after Lex was like... on that island or whatever. I still think of it sometimes.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
The memory you guys have for my stories just boggles my mind. I remember that name, but I couldn't tell you anything about it. Now I must go find it... except it's not even in my memories.

Hmm. Tough call. Telegraph Avenue was the first of yours that I read, many, many moons after you'd finished and gone on, and the feedback I left was probably one of my first attempts at using Photoshop, too, LOL. Trade runs a close second, though, because that was the first thing of yours that I read that really showed what you could do. So... Yeah.

[identity profile] hackthis.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)

I went with Telegraph Avenue because it's pretty much the reason I started lurking around your journal (And OMG Matt Nathanson!!! In O.C. fic!!! And Seth!!! Okay, really I chose it because it makes me use exclamation marks obsessively, but, yeah.) but I also love, love the Kitchen Confidential and the Chuck fic. And the Sarah Connor. There needs to be more of that. Yes.

[identity profile] fivil.livejournal.com 2008-03-13 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Toss up between Telegraph Avenue (Seth/Ryan used to be so magical and anything including Ryan Gosling is made of pure win) and Thousandth Man (you basically created Neville/Theodore and your love for Neville shows while your detailed Slytherin characterizations were a delight to read for even me, who 9 times out of 10 opts for something not-including-Slytherins in HP fandom).

In the end I went for Thousandth Man because I find myself revisiting its, um, porny bits every now and then when I'm on a HP kick. Good times, good times.

Though really, overall it's always great fun to share a fandom with you, even if not simultanously, like how I got into The OC briefly after you tuned out of The OC. Or say, when Kitchen Confidential originally aired - all fics from that frenzy were just so ace.
