In light of the coming blasphemy that will be ABC's version of Life on Mars, I decided to finally get to the original before all was irreparably tainted.

So, I have just finished the original Life on Mars pilot and, um, Sam/Gene, y/y? Sam/Annie? y/y?

With Annie that makes like, two female leads I've grown to adore this year (including Casey on Greek). The world she is ending. Well, between this and Shia's shit balls... I'm actually kind of reluctant to rec you too much, as most of the fics are spoilery (it's what happens when the whole show is only 16 episodes). But here are a few of my favorites:

lozenger8 is a wonderful and prolific writer; she writes gen, Sam/Gene, and Sam/Annie. All her fic is here (http://lozenger8.livejournal.com/626895.html).

This (http://digilander.libero.it/dorcas_gustine/lom/heroesmenu.html) is a long and plotty Sam/Gene story that was the first fic in this fandom I really fell in love with.

Another (http://community.livejournal.com/1973flashfic/41344.html) Sam/Gene story I really love.

I'm still planning to do a proper recs post soon. Hopefully that's a good start, though?
