I have been trying to avoid doing this for three months, but finally I could take it no longer and had to succumb to the fact that the boys -- men -- of Generation Kill deserve a very special fanmix of their own. For the record, if it was in the series, it won't be on this mix. To me this mix is about the tone of the series and the mood of the men. At the end of the day it's reflective of their joint influence on me and what I hear when I look at what, to me, is hands down the best television of 2008. For whatever that's worth.

I downloaded, thank you! And I love it, so much that I have to share a little story. I caught a flight this morning at 5 am, spent the day dealing with university bureaucracy so I can defend my thesis on Friday, and, you know, writing my thesis defense. It's 8 pm, the bus is late, my feet hurt like hell, I'm so sleep-deprived I can barely blink, and then "Everybody's Gone To War" starts playing. The first line made me laugh out load, and by the end I was smiling and dancing and looked so happy that like three people asked me for change. Which was a very long way of saying that I think this completely rocks, and it made my day.
