I've been really excited about this show for months. It's definitely living up to expectations. I just hope people will get over there turnip level IQs and realize that it's amazing and keep watching. I can't wait to find out who the other gay is.

Also the whole Dan/Chuck thing is made even better just because Sebastian Stan was on GG and is dating Leighton Meester.

Yeah, for three-quarters of the pilot I was going, "Wait, what cannon gay characters? I was promised cannon gay characters by hackthis, who knows way more about these things than I do!" And then we got the (potentially!)evil!gay character and I facepalmed. I hope they do something damn cool with this.

Mostly, I'm interested (okay, aside from the pretty) in this for anthropological/history geek reasons; I want to see the world building they do here. Because it looks on the surface like an America-mirror, and I can't wait to see what they do to show how it got that way. ...if they do...

But total hotness all over the damn place, and I even don't mind the Princess too much (yet...).

I was actually surprised at how much I liked it! I watched for Ian McShane and stayed because David is like a giant fluffy kitten that I want to pet FOREVER.

And also because of Ian McShane's conversation with his son about kingship and how he wouldn't care if it was in a second son, but in a king... So much love.

PS: I want to already be at the part where Johnathon is mad in love with David. Even though that will be angsty.
