spoonyriffic? READ IT. What she's doing is what I *thought* Gibbs/DiNozzo was supposed to be, snarky and fun and hot. What the hell is up with all the angst and woe and leather chains and fic where Tony's balls are mysteriously missing? Are y'all watching the same show I am?

2. The Hurt Locker. War movie with Jeremy Renner (Walsh from the Unusuals, bitches!) and Guy Pearce! Or as one commenter put it It's basically "Generation Kill", just with different characters and not enough time to develop all the characters. I needs to be seeing this I think.

3. Is anybody else having one of those days too? You know the kind where you wouldn't piss on somebody even if they were on fire? EXACTLY.

4. I like Green Day. I dunno if I've ever mentioned this to you lot, but I do. I have them on my iPod under 'Baby Clash' - yes I have a genre called Baby Clash, because everybody wants to be The Clash, but nobody really is. I was thinking about my Green Day like the other day because Stephen had them on The Report and they were doing 'Know Your Enemy' and it wasn't half bad. I wouldn't pay to see them, but I do not object. And believe me I object to a lot.

sparky77 had this thing where she asked people to mention a fandom and she'd give three unpopular opinions about it. I'll take the one and tweak it a little. Give me a character or a fandom you've seen me write and I'll give you at least three facts about him/her/it.

I'm thinking. I just realized that my Nate issues were related to my Ray love. I need time to prcoess!

You know I'm about to get all up in your stuff, right? This kind of protectiveness stems from either sharing issues, abandonment issues or 'he's mine and you can't have it' which goes back to A. And to an extent I think Ray is right, Brad is his, in as much as he's anybody's. But moreso Ray's. Who takes care of Ray when he's moody? Brad. Who takes care of Brad when Nate's upset him? Ray. Any relationship between Nate and Brad Iraq will have to include Ray to a certain extent. He might not be down with that. Not the gay part, but the part where if they get caught, does he really trust that Nate'll take the hit for Brad? And does that matter if he thinks Brad would throw himself on the sword first?

You know, it may be in Ray's best interests to keep them apart. for all parties concerned. just a thought.

Dude, I have to request Brad facts to go with the Nate, because you can't have one without the other. Though I find it hard to believe no one has asked for Brad yet, so if I missed him somehow and he's already taken, Fictional Michael Phelps, because that's hilarious. Or Omar Little. Whoever has the most interesting facts!

1. Brad will be fine on his own. He's perfectly happy being single. He does't need a kid or a wife or a partner or whatever. But... he wouldn't mind one if it happened. Don't tell Ray that.

2. The first time he saw Nate, he thought he was too pretty to have a brain.

3. If he wasn't a Marine, he'd be a professor. Anything to get paid to insult people on a regular basis.

I am not recommending NCIS! Wait! I am just saying, I find it entertaining. And for me, there is a vast chasm between things I find entertaining and things I would make the entire world watch so they could hopefully get a fucking clue. Just had to put in that caveat.

Now. Three facts about Ben and John.

1. It wasn't love it first sight. Hell, it wasn't even like. In fact, the day that Ben realized his automatic reaction to Cooper was lust not fear, he went home and drank eight bottles of beer and passed out between the coffee table and the sofa while watching reruns of Law and Order on TNT

2. John is physically larger than Ben, but even since Ben took down that guy at the tattoo parlor, John keeps giving him the side eye. He finds Ben's secrets unsettling, he pushing at him, because he wants to know more, to feel more comfortable with him.

3. Ben will never leave the police force, unless John asks him too.

I think this all started from a comment

romanticalgirl made about how crazy it was that Ray knew all the details of Brad's traumatic previous break up and that Brad calmly let Ray share those details to a stranger with minimal interruptions. I honestly don't think I really processed how insane that was until she pointed it out. However Ray got that information (my guess is that he annoyed Brad until he broke, though I really like

romanticalgirl's idea that Ray called Brad's mom) Brad is apparently very comfortable with Ray's knowledge and the level of trust right there from Brad is amazing. And I think the fact that Brad trusts him so much is something that Ray takes a lot of pride in and takes very, very seriously.

The point being that yes, Ray is very protective of Brad + is very protective of his role as Brad's favorite + doesn't do well with authority = Ray not being too happy with Nate. Except I think Ray does like Nate and respected him and most importantly is happy when Brad is happy, so I think he would grudgingly be okay with Brad/Nate, he just wouldn't trust them to go about things in the right way and would feel they needed a lot of supervision and that Nate fully appreciated Brad's awesomeness and realized how lucky he was. And there would be definitely be some power play's on Ray's part about his ability to make Brad come running.

And, you know, I am starting to talk myself into some sort of Brad/Ray/Nate combination because Brad would not be amused by all this and would be all, "you two need to fuck already. I'll watch." and Ray and Nate would be all "EW! That's not what's going on here. And also Ew!" And Brad would raise an eyebrow. And Nate would still be all, "No. No. And No." And Ray would be all "Hmmm. I can work with this."

Was Brad actually *in* the victor when this conversation transpired? I... that's right, the bit where he talks about seeing all the pictures on their walls. Yeah, that totally fucked Brad's shit all up. Tell me more about Ray finding out, you think he called Brad's *mom*? And said what? "I work with your son, why is he all jacked up?" I think THAT would be a seriously breach of Brad's trust if he did. I think if Brad told him that's one thing, but to go around spouting something he got from Brad's *mom*. Mom's are sacred, you don't fuck with moms.

I don't really see it either, but I can now see a situation in which it might happen and I am very, very intrigued. Not long term, just enough for Ray to assure himself that he could trust Nate with Brad.

And I pretty much think Ray annoyed Brad into telling him. I'm just amused by the potential between a conversation between Ray and Brad's mom.

I think I need some sort of bank robber AU to straighten about my feelings on all of this.
